@godnnat Jesus mirrors Moses in many more ways than Mohammad does. The bible uses types and anti-types. The type is the precursor of the reality to come, as in the giving of a covenant, having a personal relationship with God, miraculously feeding people, controlling the seas, performing healing of lepers, and many other signs and wonders typifying Jesus who was to come.

Prophet Mohammad(pbuh) did speak to Allah(swt) "face to face" and without a barrier/hijab, during Mi'raj, or the night ascension. He also was given the Miracle of all Miracles, the Quran, which is something you can touch, read and see today, unlike any past Miracle. He did also perform other Miracles as well, which recorded in the authentic narration.

Trying to show Muhammad was mentioned in Deuteronomy 18:18 or Songs 5:16 will only make you look bad, because these verses are nothing to do with Muhammad. @nicerperson I've actually left many "questionable" verses from the Bible, that did not suffice enough evidence to point to Prophet Mohammad(pbuh), that some Muslims use, even some Scholars. I was very careful in which verses I had selected. I'm ofcourse referring to verses from Isiah. In any case, don't forget the Bible is a translated book, from Multi languages, the end product is still translations. The Quran on the other hand is recited in Arabic, and are the direct words of God.

Same regarding Old Testament. I hope you are not using Western translation from Hebrew, since that translation has been alerted by Jews after the Christ in order to diminish Christ. That Bible doesn't contain even 20% of quotes from OT, Christ spoke. Greek has all references.
So there is no doubt to the Arabic listener's mind, to the non human speech, and dialog. The Quran in English is not he Quran, it's just a translation, and yet many people are still impacted by it. @Bushwackk Human beings have been translating from one language to another for thousands of years. It's not relevant. If I read the new testament in Greek, it says the same as in English, if I read the old testament in Hebrew, it reads the same. When you buy a TV these days, the instructions are given in many languages, I have never heard of anyone buying a TV and trying to cook toast with it :) even though the original is in Japanese, we still manage to switch it on and change channels.

Allah s.w.t. told us muslims in the Quran that the best way to debate with the non-believers and the people of the book is by using the Quran verses, because it is the words of Allah s.w.t.
However, after using the Quran - then only after that, then we can consider to use others like New and Old Testaments, old manuscripts etc. This is because, Al-Quran Al Kareem will never be twisted by anybody as it is a 'mukjizat' and other books were altered by irresponsible people.

I use the King James version. It could mean anything you want it too, just like those who try to twist Deut 18:15 & 18 to mean what they want it to mean, when IMO--they should read & heed Our Father's warnings showing prophet in lower case in the next verses.
What is this compared to all the other mercies and miracles Jesus performed? Who all did he serve while in the flesh? Why did His Father send Him to be born of flesh and water? What purpose did He die for on the cross?
IMO--The key to whether Deut 18:15 & 18 and if Prophet, refers to Mohammad or Jesus, is to determine the SUBJECT spoken of. The subject refers to the priests and all the tribe of Levi. So now determine who was of the prophet/priest line tribe of Levi and who was not?
Or do verses 21-22 ring true? Let's not pick and choose things out of context, that is how mans traditions get us confused in the Truth of God.

2. Moses did give up on his people in the end. Do you remember the story when the angel of death came to take moses's soul and moses grabbed the angel and told him that his work isnt done. So the angel went to Allah SWT and he came back and told Moses to touch his bull and for every hair he touched he will add a year to his life but moses refused because he wanted to leave it to the other Prophets.
I have a few pointers... and keep in mind that I am not a Scholar in any religions. I am Muslim Al-Hamdillah but here it goes:
1. The bible claimed that there will be a Prophet after Moses... Jesus is also considered a Prophet, one of our Prophets as well. I understand the Moses and Mohammed PBUH have more in common but that doesnt change the fact that Jesus was a Prophet as well.

Referring to your copy above. In Deut 18:15 & 18 The word Prophet is capitalized. I am positive, this is a reference to Emmanuel, God with us, His son Jesus Christ. Lord of Lords, King of Kings. Jesus tells us, "if you have seen me, you have seen the Father."
Are you saying that Christians should not follow Our Lord Jesus and should follow your prophet Muhammad over Him?

John 14:15-26 A comforter will come --This refers to a direct link with the Father thru His spirit which already resides within each of us. Further more on John 16--Christ warns those who believe He was sent of the Father, that many will hate us and want to kill us for His name sake. Mother will turn against daughter, father against son, neighbor against neighbor. We will be brought up before the councils of satan to be 'converted" and it is at this time, we are NOT to premeditate what we shall say, but allow Our Father to speak for us thru His Spirit. His spirit taught me at age 12 NOT to follow the false Rapture doctrine that was being taught in church in 1972. I also learned that the spirit leaves the flesh body when my dad passed away at age 17. His spirit traveled 500 miles to wake me from a sound sleep to let me know he was at rest and not grieve for him.

Notice the word supper in NT. While in Greek Orthodox NT it is evharisto. That word was never ordinary supper, it is lithurgical pratice, comunion with Christ. Translating it as supper is reduction.

Jesus clearly stated that those who follow him will be persecuted. Which can't be really said for American Christians. They had never endured any kind of persecution. While Russian, Greek, Armenian Christians were persecuted through all centuries of their history, especially in XX century.

About the man with demons, the demons recognised Jesus (they knew who he was, because they are spiritual beings) but did not trust in him. The devils believe in God and tremble with fear, and you are right, just believing in God is not enough. You need to trust in him

@nicerperson You are on the right track. Protestant theology had stripped faith from trust. It is enough to believe and give aid to Israel, and you are Christian. @nicerperson You can find that manuscripts any almost any Orthodox monastery in Greece or Palestine. Official Orthodox Bible has that word in it. Westeners translated it as supper. But it is not just a supper.

@Htogrom Ah! I have found the word εὐχαριστέω. It doesn't mean supper at all, no wonder I had trouble finding it. It means give thanks, not supper. There is no liturgical practice involved, it is used in the loaves and fishes incident and 38 other places in the NT. So yo must have a wierd NT that translates it as supper. It is used in many cases where food is not involved at all.

Luther was under great influence of Jews, who gave him their version of old Testament, that was tweaked after Christ, in order to diminish Christ. That Lutheran OT doesn't contain all verses from Prophets and Psalms Jesus uses from OT. They erased it to diminish his divinity. He was thinking that if text is in Hebrew it must be more reliable, which proved to be wrong.

Mo didn't have the skin disease that Moses had. Nor did MO lead the people out of captivity he led them into it. The age in the scripture for the work to begin with the LORD is 48. Mo did not have the name given for the prophet. Nor were there biblical plagues like now. Prophet was not predicted to come until the last days. Mo also died before Jesus Christ predicted the work would end e.g 72.

My question is for Bushwackk, in this video clip time 5:31 where voice of Anwar al-Awlaki tells us that each Prophet brings new laws for e.g Mohummed brings Quran and Moses brings Torah, but strangely he said that Jesus did not bring new laws.......but What about Injeel(bible).

@godnnat Jesus mirrors Moses in many more ways than Mohammad does. The bible uses types and anti-types. The type is the precursor of the reality to come, as in the giving of a covenant, having a personal relationship with God, miraculously feeding people, controlling the seas, performing healing of lepers, and many other signs and wonders typifying Jesus who was to come.

Prophet Mohammad(pbuh) did speak to Allah(swt) "face to face" and without a barrier/hijab, during Mi'raj, or the night ascension. He also was given the Miracle of all Miracles, the Quran, which is something you can touch, read and see today, unlike any past Miracle. He did also perform other Miracles as well, which recorded in the authentic narration.

In addition, the mere fact that it sounds like the name of Muhammad(SAW) doesn't make it so. Trying to show Muhammad was mentioned in Deuteronomy 18:18 or Songs 5:16 will only make you look bad, because these verses are nothing to do with Muhammad. @nicerperson I've actually left many "questionable" verses from the Bible, that did not suffice enough evidence to point to Prophet Mohammad(pbuh), that some Muslims use, even some Scholars. I was very careful in which verses I had selected. I'm ofcourse referring to verses from Isiah. In any case, don't forget the Bible is a translated book, from Multi languages, the end product is still translations. The Quran on the other hand is recited in Arabic, and are the direct words of God.

So there is no doubt to the Arabic listener's mind, to the non human speech, and dialog. The Quran in English is not he Quran, it's just a translation, and yet many people are still impacted by it. @Bushwackk Human beings have been translating from one language to another for thousands of years. It's not relevant. If I read the new testament in Greek, it says the same as in English, if I read the old testament in Hebrew, it reads the same. When you buy a TV these days, the instructions are given in many languages, I have never heard of anyone buying a TV and trying to cook toast with it :) even though the original is in Japanese, we still manage to switch it on and change channels.

Allah s.w.t. told us muslims in the Quran that the best way to debate with the non-believers and the people of the book is by using the Quran verses, because it is the words of Allah s.w.t.
However, after using the Quran - then only after that, then we can consider to use others like New and Old Testaments, old manuscripts etc. This is because, Al-Quran Al Kareem will never be twisted by anybody as it is a 'mukjizat' and other books were altered by irresponsible people.

I use the King James version. It could mean anything you want it too, just like those who try to twist Deut 18:15 & 18 to mean what they want it to mean, when IMO--they should read & heed Our Father's warnings showing prophet in lower case in the next verses.
What is this compared to all the other mercies and miracles Jesus performed? Who all did he serve while in the flesh? Why did His Father send Him to be born of flesh and water? What purpose did He die for on the cross?

IMO--The key to whether Deut 18:15 & 18 and if Prophet, refers to Mohammad or Jesus, is to determine the SUBJECT spoken of. The subject refers to the priests and all the tribe of Levi. So now determine who was of the prophet/priest line tribe of Levi and who was not?
Or do verses 21-22 ring true? Let's not pick and choose things out of context, that is how mans traditions get us confused in the Truth of God.

2. Moses did give up on his people in the end. Do you remember the story when the angel of death came to take moses's soul and moses grabbed the angel and told him that his work isnt done. So the angel went to Allah SWT and he came back and told Moses to touch his bull and for every hair he touched he will add a year to his life but moses refused because he wanted to leave it to the other Prophets.

I have a few pointers... and keep in mind that I am not a Scholar in any religions. I am Muslim Al-Hamdillah but here it goes:
1. The bible claimed that there will be a Prophet after Moses... Jesus is also considered a Prophet, one of our Prophets as well. I understand the Moses and Mohammed PBUH have more in common but that doesnt change the fact that Jesus was a Prophet as well.

Referring to your copy above. In Deut 18:15 & 18 The word Prophet is capitalized. I am positive, this is a reference to Emmanuel, God with us, His son Jesus Christ. Lord of Lords, King of Kings. Jesus tells us, "if you have seen me, you have seen the Father."

His spirit taught me at age 12 NOT to follow the false Rapture doctrine that was being taught in church in 1972. I also learned that the spirit leaves the flesh body when my dad passed away at age 17. Notice the word supper in NT. While in Greek Orthodox NT it is evharisto. That word was never ordinary supper, it is lithurgical pratice, comunion with Christ. Translating it as supper is reduction.

There are two main obligations as a believer, the first is to God and the way He directed us to worship Him alone, and without assigning any partners to Him, and the second, are the rights of the people upon us, and how they aught to be treated as our fellow human beings. @nicerperson You are on the right track. Protestant theology had stripped faith from trust. It is enough to believe and give aid to Israel, and you are Christian. Good deeds that through ages were most recognizable thing about Christians are removed. That is why many third world people recognize Protestants as hypocrites.

Here's one more. Whenever term Israel is used in NT, your pastors claim it is exactly same as present state of Israel. Despite the fact that present Jewish state of Israel doesn't believe in Christ. And despite the fact that Jews wiped out Arab Christians from 1948.

"Those who claim to be Jew" are not from the house or tribe of Judah, but of the synagogue of satan, the offspring of Cain the first murderer....they sought to murder(and did in their hearts tho not deed due to Roman rule) Our Lord Jesus and He called them out for their evil ways and doings.
The 12 tribes are scattered all over the world and though many do not know who they are, Our Father knows them and shall gather all back to the Holy Land when He so wills it.

@mmarabians1 You can call teaching of our Church heretical, but mine was not created by some Joesph Smith, or reformed by some Martin or Pope. Mine was created by apostles 2000 years ago, and it exists in continuity from that time.

When you read and understand the Holy Bible as it is written, a person can easily see how traditions of MEN have corrupted the Word of God and it's meanings. Confusion comes from translations and there are those who have attempted to tamper with those. That is why it is important to find a man of GOD who understands the languages and can teach them as they were written.

The Bible is full of stories where Our Father uses other nations and their enemies against another to cleanse the false doctrines/idol worshiping He no longer wishes to allow.
This worldly earth may be your "heaven", but it sure isn't mine. That day will come, just as Father has promised. And God doesn't leave His people, people leave Him and he just let's them do their thing. Free will is what this life in the flesh is all about. Free will to Love Our Father in Heaven or satan.

@nicerperson You can find that manuscripts any almost any Orthodox monastery in Greece or Palestine. Official Orthodox Bible has that word in it. Westeners translated it as supper. But it is not just a supper.

@Htogrom I found the word, you are making a mistake, supper is supper, this greek word means give thanks, in no greek manuscript does this word say supper. It is from the word eucharisteō

@nicerperson Listen, even word thanks giving doesn't express full meaning. Lithurgy is giving thanks, but it is many many more. If you want to found out more, I suggest you educate about Orthodox Christianity.

@Htogrom Ah! I have found the word εὐχαριστέω. It doesn't mean supper at all, no wonder I had trouble finding it. It means give thanks, not supper. There is no liturgical practice involved, it is used in the loaves and fishes incident and 38 other places in the NT. So yo must have a wierd NT that translates it as supper. It is used in many cases where food is not involved at all.

But what clue those Jewish protestant teachers had about early Church?
Here's another example. Almost all protestants hate icons. They state it is heretical, and that Jews of 2000 years ago didn't had iconography. But recently in Syria there has been found Jewish Synagogue just from the time of Christ. And it is full of images - icons. That turns protestant theology upside down.Calvin and other sect leaders were just ignorant.

@nicerperson Many protestant theologians were Jews or under influence of Jews.
Luther was under great influence of Jews, who gave him their version of old Testament, that was tweaked after Christ, in order to diminish Christ. That Lutheran OT doesn't contain all verses from Prophets and Psalms Jesus uses from OT. They erased it to diminish his divinity. He was thinking that if text is in Hebrew it must be more reliable, which proved to be wrong.

But still the fact remains Luther assumed Jewish (Hebrew) OT is more accurate than the Greek one. He used Jewish OT (pharisaic) and thus unknowingly fallen under their influence.
Others are under more direct influence. You can see that in the way they insult Virgin Mary, same way Talmud does.

And you can't deny there is today in the world strong tie between Protestantism and Jews. Protestants are lead to believe that Jews are still Israel, and that they need to support Jews no matter what.
Ironically Americans supported Jews on slaughtering Arab Christians (mainly Orthodox) who were at 1948 great minority in Palestine, and now are mostly cleansed. So, Jews who don't believe in Christ are more brothers to Protestants than Arab Christians.

@Htogrom I had a look about this synagogue, I think wall paintings depicting religious stories is a far cry from "icons" and it is quite an outrageous statement to say this "turns protestant theology upside down" You do realise that we have the scroll of Isaiah in the dead sea scroll collection that backs the masoretic OT? I suspect that you are of a catholic group trying to keep your icon/Mary worship religion intact. But I doubt you are Greek as you would have known the Greek for supper.

As far as icons go, icon in Orthodox faith is Gospel presented in graphic form. Orthodox icon is made in very strict manner that always resembles main principles of faith.
While Western iconography went into liberalisation and thus Christ God became Christ mortal in West. Munk's painting of Virgin Mary is direct product of western heretical iconography.

Not gonna argue traditions of men. In the first earth age, we were all in our spiritual bodies. Then satan and 1/3 of heaven rebelled against our Father. They left their habitation in heaven, did abominations on earth, mingled with the daughters of mankind and animalkind. Father destroyed that earth age but did not destroy his children because He loved them. As a test of Free Will, we were to be born of flesh and water, in order to choose who we would follow, Our Father or satan.

In fact, in the original manuscript, the Septuagint, there is no distinction between the capitalization of words. If that does not convince you, I just did a search on deut 18. So far, only the KJV and the amplified bible version has capitalized the P in prophet. The rest of the other versions do not capitalize the P. How can u be 100% certain that it means Jesus(pbuh)?

There are extremist in all the "religions", it is up to those of us to read the sacred words and understand their meanings without allowing the traditions of men to confuse the true words given to us.

The SUBJECT of Deut 18 is the Lord Our Father in heaven, explaining the prophet line was thru the tribe, house of Levi. I'm not sure if your prophet Muhammad fills this requirement? But I do know that Jesus Christ filled this requirement thru his mother Mary's bloodlines.
Verses 15 - 22 (15) "The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet ...like unto me." Meaning resembles, in place of Him---this refers to Emmanuel, God With Us. The only begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ.

Also, to follow Muhammad(pbuh) is to follow Jesus(pbuh). Muslims accept Jesus(pbuh) as the Messiah and prophet of God. Not as a God. As a man.

Thank you and I mean no disrespect either to Bushwacker. I first started watching Norregon sp' and later his Wake Up project and saw another side to the Islam faith. I really enjoyed the videos and think that perhaps true Christianity and True Islam under Muhammad are not that far apart. But as with all the religions of today, it is men who pervert the words or mislead others to hate the other for an agenda.

Huh? What do you mean Jesus original gospel? If we throw out all the gospels of those who were with Jesus while he was teaching in the flesh, and the Holy Spirit which taught and instructed Paul, what remains of His teachings? Not much and then we would not have the understanding or the knowledge or the Truth of the Word and what is to come given to us by Our Father in heaven spoken of thru Jesus Christ.

Apology accepted and I also apologize for my agitated remarks. Seems I have asked allot of questions, yet no one wishes to respond except to attempt to cast doubt on the Holy Bible. I was wrong to think our two faiths were close. I see now they are not. Jesus is reduced to a mere prophet, while a flesh man is elevated to Prophet.
It is time for me to stick with what I know and let God sort out the rest.

@RememberPaulRevere If u had read the story I mentioned about the King of Abysinnia, you would have come to the conclusion that Christianity and Islam is similar aside from the Jesus(pbuh) is man concept and the trinity. Thats what makes Christianity and Islam separate. Otherwise, Islam would cease to exist and only Christianity prevails. Just as Islam is similar to Judaism aside from the corruption that they have done to the teachings of Moses(pbuh) and other wayward thinking.

I read one account of this and was then led to the book of Esther. King of Abysinnia-Ethiopia --this was an interesting read. Thank you. Some say Jesus was merely a carpenter--lol, and that my brother is WHY our two faiths are at odds. At least Jesus is revered in your faith, while those who claim to be Jews but are not, hate Him... do you not find it questionable that men have elevated a flesh man above Jesus, who was the source of his inspiration? Jesus was sent by the Father.

Err that book isnt the book i was referring to. This happened during Muhammad's(pbuh) time. The king of abysinnia is not the King of Persia aka Xerxes. The king of abysinnia was called Negus. I'd just like to to quote what he said when he heard about Jesus(pbuh) in Islam, "This hath truly come from the same source as that which Jesus brought." However, he still remained Christian.
