It doesn't matter if it's an antique or just really old. The chair was on his/her balcony and the guy walked up and took it from the balcony and put it in the driveway. Went to look for more stuff. Then walked off with it. That's stealing.

In my old neighborhood...anything that was not chained down was stolen. If I wanted to get rid of stuff, I would simply put it out by the drive-way and it was gone in twenty minutes or less. It is sad when we live in an age where people think...touch-take.

I still live in a neighbourhood like that. Just the other day I was working in the driveway when I heard a kid say, "I'm coming back tonight and taking that," about a statue on my porch. I said, "I heard that, dumb shit," but he didn't hear me so later that night I took the statue to his house and said, "I know that you really like this because of what you said when you were walking by today so I want for you to have it." I've never seen anyone so embarrassed in my life :).
