Most parents don't like to send their children to boxing because there is no better future in boxing. Parents prefer to send their children to school because there is bright future there.

Now, that boxing becomes a phenominal sport in the philippines,great boxers like Manny Pacquiao earns millions, parents like to mix both. They send their boys to school and boxing. The famous ALA boxing gym in Cebu City trains young boys as early as eight years old without escaping from school. After highschool, these young boys start to fight pro.

and, philippines is just now seeing boxing as a better sport than basketball. see, basketball is a lot more popular in the philippines, but we really suck at it. now that PAC MANIA has settled in, more flips will start boxing rather than basketball.
