  • Thanks for the responses.

Some of you have commented on the gender of the victim and perpetrator in the video - The MPS is committed to the protection of victims and any children of victims experiencing domestic abuse, regardless of their gender or sexuality.

We actively encourage reporting from all victims and whilst we recognise that there are male victims and female perpetrators, the majority, about 85% of reports to us involve female victims and male perpetrators.

  • So powerful.

  • Amazing video. Really powerful and such an important message.

  • Holy crap this gave me chills. :(

  • Reality: When WE ignore the majority of abuse victims (victims OF WOMEN) we'd might as well lend a hand to the abusers. Women commit the most dating, partner and spouse abuse, not men. Likewise, mothers commit the majority of child abuse & murders, not fathers. Stop blaming the most protective and stabilizing family member as an excuse for the real abuse - feminist lies ripping apart families through false abuse allegations and parental alienation child abuse, invisible, pandemic twin crimes.

  • IN MY CITIZENSHIP CLASS WE ARE ORGANISING A PROJECT CALLED CHANGED MAKERS IN MY PROJECT WE ARE FOCUSING ON DOMESTIC ABUSE(CAN YOU PLEASE SUBCRIBE OR ADD AS FRIEND IT COUNT FOR PART OF MY CITIZENSHIP GCSE) SUBCRIBE I SUBCRIBE BACK OR ADD ME AS A FRIEND

P.S I WIL BE POSTING VIDEOS

    THANKYOU

  • people are so annoying... why are you arguing about men vs woman domestic abuse. abuse is abuse and its wrong. i'm really getting sick of everyone whining about how theres a double standard. the important thing is that this needs to stop regardless of gender.

  • Gives me nightmares.

  • I wish that someone had helped me.

  • @Syntox Oh, I agree, I just think it would be interesting to see how people reacted if the genders were reversed.

  • I think if MRAs are so concerned about violence against men, they should put their money where their mouths are and create some men's shelters.

The feminists had to do it themselves, why not them?

  • I might have called 999, but considering that the murder happens roughly ten seconds after the offer to call, there is no way in hell the police would have made it in time.

  • @xTheOxx The point is not just to stop the murder from happening but also to stop the murder from running away or going free. If you think that way and don't make the call, you actually become an accessory to the crime because you don't try to stop it.

  • @xTheOxx You make the call to put the murder behind bars and still 1 in 5 murder cases are of domestic violence. The other cases of domestic violence can be traumatic to the wife and children (if there are any), scars them for life, which in a way kills them mentally and spiritually, so when you make the 999 call, you might be helping someone get away from the crap.

  • My cousin acted out as the guy in the other room.

    Strong stuff.

  • it would be great if everyone got to watch this video, that would go along way towards eradicating domestic violence. i hope the police will begin to take it seriously now. please pass on to as many people as possible and ask them to do the same.

  • britsh version of rihanna and chris brown

  • Wow, that sounds like some serious police brutality next door.

  • @helpmakeitstop Great video, love the Spotify ad as well. Very effective. Thank you.

Also, it might be interesting to make one with the woman as the abuser? I think many people might be more likely to call the police if they heard a man abusing a woman, rather than the other way around, but men get abused too.

  • @ViralVideoChartFR - STATISTICALLY, and HIGHLY so it's men abusing women that ends up in homicide. There's no double standard here.

  • @Syntox Yeah, but just because men don't die as much doesn't mean that we shouldn't try to stop violence against men, too. I think it would be good to run at least /something/ showing that women can be abusers and men can be abused. You wouldn't believe how many people think it's just not possible, like it breaks a law of nature or something.

  • No you're not allowed to talk, about male victims of domestic violence.

  • This is a commendable campaign. I'm just sorry that, in our country today, that here are people around who, having got close to someone, would betray the trust that they have earned, often with terrible consequences.

  • To all of you who have made stupid, snide little comments about the police... I just want to say that no, the police don't always behave as you'd hope, but I don't get why you're trying to undermine a campaign to end domestic violence. Having been in this position myself funnily enough I was actually pretty relieved when someone called 999 - it sickens me to think what happens in situations where people just ignore it. Clearly you've lived very sheltered lives... or perhaps you're just scum.

  • @JoeAlexRory in a way it is real... this kind of thing does happen.

  • i love this..

what would you do if you heard "NO YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO TALK" and then some beating next door? well i probably assume the police were already there, doing what they do

  • i love this..

  • @terrortricks1 how could the police already be there and she's still getting beaten up. That makes no sense, the Police are called to stop it not let it continue.

  • @KingCribble Your post has been removed due to inappropriate language.

  • @Averilli1 Your post has been removed due to inappropriate language.

  • and what are the police gonna do? "stop doing that!...or I will say stop again!"... stupid corrupt goverment taking away our rights to self defence. I wont do shit for britain, if you can still call it that anymore.

  • @oldblood5 Arrest him obviously.
