  • Dear Febilina, class lasts and you could wear any Y.ST.L. today and look amazing, that is the test of a true master..........

  • Like Matisse Yves was a superb colourist as the collection shows.

  • Yves Saint Laurent & Katoucha are a fabulous designer and model team!. God bless them both!

  • "PURE CLASSIC" of a remarkable genius.

Yves Saint Laurent knows the "secret" of Haute Couture!!!!!!!!!!

If Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington were on the runway, it would create a grand entrance!!

  • is this considered the best fashion designer ever? why? icant understand¡

  • febeilina if you knew just a little bit about fashion and fashion designer you will understand why YSL is one of the best designer ever !

  • monodrian, sharina, fur , bucolic inspired in slavic models, i know all about ysl, but i cannt understand his fashion¡¡¡¡¡¡ sorry

  • Bonjour,

est ce quelqu'un connait l'interprète de la chanson indienne du défilé rétrospectif.

    Merci d'avance

à partir de la troisième minute il y a un clin d'oeil aux tenues traditionnelles algériennes

  • a lot of supermodels in this show

  • and then I see Picasso, and Matisse... Bravo !

  • Woww, the very beginning with Stravinsky's Sring Rite, The models look so cool and modern as if like a military march.

  • Yves Saint Laurent's work has served as a meter stick by which all fashion creations in the 20th century were judged up to the present. . . in cut, line, proportion, finishing, fit, fabric, color combination, etcetera . . . to my mind, no one has taken the lead as yet with such historical impact and importance.

  • Tell it! Baby :-) I love him, and also Ungaro, he could drape like no other, and shoudln't go unnoticed for his contributions . . .

  • Ungaro's 1987 fall/winter collection to me was the height of his mastery in draping. There was a gown worn by his favorite model (I forgot her name) in which the baby pink silk chiffon fabric was electric pleated and draped on her body like it came out of her skin (you wouldn't know where the draping begins and ends) ... and to top it all, the sleeves were made of giant cabbage roses of the same fabric... impeccable finishing and construction ! That gown can still be worn today.

  • I know, it's amazing how timeless haute couture can be, i think his best collections were through 86-88 (Ungaro) i vividly remember this pale pink short draped dress with pouf sleeves from his Couture '88 collection, i wonder if i still have it on STyle w/Elsa Klensch, i used to tape that show, but some of the vhs tapes have popped through the years :-(

  • I believe every famous designer should have at least a compilation of all his / her shows and exhibits. It would make for good reference, inspiration and catalog of his important works.

  • Good point!

  • the master of masters

  • 0:55 can you find the hidden ballsack?

  • PURE ART

  • i was in tears halfway through this. sheer brilliance.

  • Yves forever!

  • Now the Yves has gone , we have no choice but to grin and bear all the ugly clothes this new era has to offer.

  • Amen!

  • No Manila vintage clothes always exist you just gotta know where to find them.

  • Exactly, Yves was the epitome of Chic, High Fashion, not just rags dressed up to try and be "something".
