  • really i work twice as hard as the owner of my company i make him millions a year wtf is with that he drives a cadillac im in a fuckin accent.

  • I notice you can't post video response to your bullshit propaganda. What are you afraid of if your so solid in your beliefs they can't stand competion?

  • Oh not to mention? You forgot to mention in this clip neither girl can afford to open up because they don't have a food lincense, standard working fire eqstinguisher, the didn't get a sign permit that can only be made by an official city sign maker, the proper regriferation to the lemonade. All the laws BIG LEMONADE CORP. helped to enact to make sure both little girls get shut down. AND THEY DO SHUT KIDS LEMONADE STANDS DOWN EVERYDAY FOR REAL. So don't hand me this bullshit monetary based

  • All things being fair yeah you have a point but the fact is they are not fair. NOT EVEN CLOSE. The rich girl is enslaving people in china to produce lemons at slave wages while paying the guy a few bucks to hold keep the other girl from being able to compete and turn his back on the unfairness. Yeah and thats just the basic bullshit of free market economics.

  • Oh I see the err to my wicked ways now. Rich people work harder. BULLSHIT. If it was that simple yeah I could see your point. Now take into account the one girl from years of oppression comes from a dsyfunctional family. Take into account the one girls family started her out with a lemonade store. The girl had to buy from the other girl to even get started then instead of paying the other girl? They give a little less money enriching the man instead so he will keep the other girl down.

  • The Duck walks up to the lemonade stand, said to the girl who was running the stand "Hey!" bop bop bop "Got any grapes!?"

  • The whit man is Obama.

  • Watch Zeitgeist Moving Forward

Also how about "Capitalism Epic Fail"

  • @LayBack2112 I know, but in the end, there will always be those pesky few who went the extra mile despite the obsticals and got things done.

  • A Communist sees a wealthy man living in a large house and says,

"No man should have so much."

A Free Market Capitalist sees the same thing and says,

"Every man should have this much."

  • Another way of putting it is to give the trophy to the last runner in a foot race. How would the winner, who put effort, and who won the foot race feel?

  • @LayBack2112 If the 2ed girl has the ambition and the salesmanship to overcome those obstacles she will succeed! I've seen people like the first girl who have all the support in the beginning but fail because they do not have the ambition and salesmanship to succeed.

  • @LayBack2112,i understand wat ur talking about however, the reason the girls parents give her a good life is because they worked hard enough to teach her child to be able to do a lemonade stand and be successful.the other girls parent just has to work harder to teach their teach her things like the other parents.i do not mean to disagree with anyone im just speaking MY mind.

  • @LayBack2112 thank you. someone needed to say it.

  • A young man works for a local business trying to learn some skills. He makes a little money which he uses to buy new wheels. He's a new father, he needs a nice car to keep his kid safe. He buys some nice things over the years, his family looks good. Well now he's middle aged, tired of his job but can't find a new job, no real skills and no real money. He get's laid off and has no backup plan. But that's OK because now he can sit at home with his welfare and health care. He worked for it!

  • @azapps

Hasty and uneducated generalization for sure..most of the middle aged workers struggling to find jobs are college educated and have skills...another example of your failure to search out the facts

  • @jamel11234 Here are a couple simple question to think about...

Would a hard working person have a better chance at becoming financially stable than someone who doesn't work as hard?

Would someone who plans for their own financial future be better off than someone who hopes social security will be there for them?

Spreading the wealth is not going to fix anything, it will only remove people's incentive to work hard.

  • A young man works hard for local businesses and learns some skills. He saves a little money where he can, but he's a new father with the expenses of a family. But he saves a little here and there over the years. Well now he's middle aged, he's good at what he does and he's making a living. He decides to start his own business providing his skills to others who need him. He works hard at his business and soon he has a number of employees, young men and women who want to learn some skills....

  • @azapps

You make it sound so easy. What dream world are you living in....you did not include the rising cost of just about everything. You obviously have not done your research to see that savings in this country are going down because of rising costs all around. Instead of oversimplifying do some homework first.

  • @azapps

    You also forgot school loans

  • There has never been a guarantee in life. Capitalism provides the OPPORTUNITY to become successful NOT the GUARANTEE. What other political/economic system is out there that is better than Capitalism? Socialism? If I work hard and end up making more money, why should the government take more money from me? What right or entitlement does the government have to take something that belongs to me or anyone?

  • They have convinced you to buy into a system that will not even benefit 90% of you on this board. You want to understand something as complex as capitalism by looking at a silly video about a lemonade stand and as mindless gullible people say oh yeah capitalism is fair?

  • Many if you fools do not even stand a chance suceeding beyond where you presently are because the very system you call fair will keep your wages stagnanted and increase the cost of your most basic necessities.

  • This is not about being lazy or hard work...this is about a system that does not reward people for the amount or work that they put in which is the reason for the wealth gap. It amazes me that you are against wealth distribution but not against throwing all of the benefits at the top in the form a tax breaks and loopholes hoping it will trickle down.

  • Morons! This is over simplification. Hard work is not a guarantee of success in this country. There are people that work hard and even have more than one job but still on work not to get ahead but merely to survive.

  • @jamel11234 Hardwork absolutely gets you ahead in this country. i am proof of it. just because you have more than one job doesn't mean crap. maybe you are working at the wrong things. sound like jealousy to me.

  • @capatilist

You are not the rule...research the studies instead of watching a juvenile video. Tell me what happens to 90% of the hard working people in the country especially now that costs are going up all around. And no jealousy here-- i am a small biz owner but unlike the rest of you i know what it means to empathize with people because there is a real world out there and everyone's situation is different. It takes one like myself not to rely on oversimplification to draw conclusions.

  • @jamel11234 Oh right, the "studies". like the one's done by the gov't that shows personal wealth continuously increasing, or the standard of living continuosly increasing yr after yr. of course costs go up it's called inflation, this happens. sometimes it is worse then other times. the last 20 yrs has seen the largest growth this country has ever had. that is a fact. people like you were preaching the japanese were going to eat our lunch, instead we generated millions of new jobs and.....

  • Respond to this video...

And it is not because they are lazy. How many hard working Americans on main street are struggling today because of the capitalistic greed on wall street? Yea..capitalism has its positives, but it also has its negatives. Its time for us to find a system that can actually work for everyone who works hard enough..dare i say regulation? And let me also ask: can success be measure only in numbers? Kind of shallow if you ask me.

  • @jamel11234 produced one of the largest technological booms in human history. give me a break. things are bad now, but not that bad, they could be much worse. capitalism and the free enterprise system have given people unbelievable living standards that they are spoiled and don't realize that this is not the norm for human civilization. it is usually much more brutal and ugly.

  • @capatilist

Listen I have read all of the text books and articles on capitalism..and of course you would post all of the things that you agree with. i can cut and paste with the best of them. And I am not saying that capitalism is all bad. I am talking about the dangers of capitalism unchecked. And the point that I am making about this ridiculous video is that it is an oversimplification of real world dynamics. Not everyone benefits from pure capitalism as we have been seeing recently.....

  • @jamel11234 capitalism has been "checked" for 100 plus yrs. there are way to many things to say about this in a small post. i will say one thing, the more you regulate, the more entrenched and self serving corporate or "welfare capitalism" becomes. i don't think you will ever really understand my point. you want to believe there is no way for you to get ahead, you need to feel as if someone is keeping you back, you would have nothing else otherwise. i'm done now.

  • Oh, how original. Man, no one has ever been taught that the super-rich are all hard working, and the poor are lazy.

Thanks so much for helping me to understand this argument.

    My mind is expanded.

I must have missed the Anti-Communist lesson of my first grade class, and never listened to any of the capitalist media.

    Wow.

  • yes

  • Right...because everyone who's rich got that way because they worked hard. It has nothing to do with legacy wealth... (Sarcasm)

  • @mbrown0315 You're not getting it. Even if it is legacy wealth, how are you entitled to it? Answer: YOU'RE NOT. And this country offers EVERYBODY the same opportunity to get rich. It's a question of taking the time to use your noodle and come up with something someone wants. FedEx, Microsoft, etc. Prime examples.

  • carbon TAX & VAT Tax both & give their $ to third world dictator !

  • It's a good thing that's not happening, nor will it happen. (The Health Care bill is no excuse either, that money has been there for years and mostly gets wasted; reform just shuffled it around to cut waste, among other things)

Any lazy bums who voted for Obama thinking he was actually gonna "spread the wealth" got suckered by just another sly politician making promises he didn't keep. GO OUT AND WORK FOR IT, just like he did.

  • How in the world do we keep ourselves, our families and our society motivated to keep working, much less innovating, throughout our lives with a non-capitalistic worldview? Capitalism is not all greed and selfishness; it promotes a work ethic that successfully moves us through our lifespans while usually leaving good things to future generations. Gerontologically speaking, capitalism is positive for healthy aging!

  • @SuccessinAgingTV Agreed. Capitalism harnesses people's natural self-interest in the service of others. Those who serve others most effectively also enjoy the greatest personal reward. Watch for our next video coming tomorrow. It's called Penalizing Productivity and shows what happens when an increasing tax burden on a productive business person becomes too much to bear.

  • @VirtuesOfCapitalism

You putting the cart before the horse. Those that take advantage of the Capitalistic system are not motivated by helping others, they are motivated by helping themselves before anything else. And in their pursuit of self they may need the help of others to achieve their objectives, and that is how others supposedly benefit.I think you are looking too hard for social virtues in the capitalistic system that do not exist.

  • It's pretty simple, huh?

  • Believe it or not, there are a lot of people that simply do not understand this.

  • @TheFlyingZephyr Common sense, as it turns out, isn't all that common. That's why we thought simple lemonade stand videos might help. There are three more videos: Penalizing Productivity, Is the Problem Greed or Envy? and You Can't, So Don't Try that we will be posting over the next week so stay tuned.
