What you have to keep in mind is that all the Superweapons used by the antagonist nations (Stonehenge, Chandelier, White Bird, Megalith, etc.) were all developed by nearly every superpower on Strangereal in a joint effort to find some way of preventing the Ulysses asteroid from destroying the earth.

The irony here is that the technology that saved them are now used as WMD's in petty wars by each of the once-allied superpowers.

I think the real-world similarities are present simply to warn us.

While the various nations of Strangereal could certainly be seen as based off of real-life counterparts, it's still quite difficult to fully correlate one Strangereal nation with our Equivalent.

Take Eurasia for example: the circumstances by which they began their aggressive campaign against USEA were very different from Nazi Germany's invasion of Poland. In fact, pretty much every conflict in Strangereal can be looked at as a legacy of the Ulysses Asteroid crisis.

4 has a mediocre storyline between the scenes (though I did like the whole legend involved with the Yellow Squadron), but the missions by and by definitely make you feel like a hero. It's worth a play through. Its last mission was the coolest of all the Ace Combat's I've played (see the Megalith theme for partly why).

@n1nj4sp4rt4n God I hate that line... one of the most cheesy line EVER, IMO.... Honestly only thing that made me mad with AC6 was the scripting, at least dialogue-wise. Gameplay was pretty damned good especially with High-G added, I think it gets low browed cause it didn't have the amazing missions per-sey, like the epic dogfight with pixy, or the intensity of the megalith mission in this game. honestly ac6's last mission wasn't hard at all.... wow I just did a rant on this...

Zero is orchestral/Spanish and even more epic (in my opinion)

6 is also orchestral with some electronic (they all actually have electronic in them...after all, it's Nakanishi). 6 is sort of bland, but not bad.

Dunno about 1 or 2...They're so old I can't find them anywhere.
