No, the lyrics are actually cute and adorable ... different, in my opinion, they made a change, instead of the usual, "I love you with all my soul."

The lyrics are cute, indeed. How cute is it when someone says I want to be the kitten you take care of and embrace? Maybe it's just me, or again, maybe it's just that many people don't really love this much cuteness. It's too ... sappy for them. But for me, it was cute.
