I dont think it could be considered "hardcore gaming" yet. Of course consoles and PCs not only can handle bigger and more intricate games, but are economically focused primarily on those kinds of "serious" gamers. But iOS has potential if its hardware can be used to create immersive, hardcore appeal for all the epicness that let video game systems be allowed to be considered "validated" as true video game experiences. Anybody who says only PCs are validated are too prideful of there hardware.
A gamer isn't based on what system he plays. It's based on what types of games he or she plays. A old school gamer considered themselves a gamer for finishing Secret of Mana etc and now that is available on the iphone for example.

@baligaandris I'm also at homicide but it seems like the formula is the same collect clues for evidence and question people for leads with the car/foot chases sprinkled in. I also feel like there needs to be more of a main story line because it just seems like the cases are small stories and the rest of the story, like them talking about the BD killer and WWII flash backs it doesn't seem like the main story is really developing but hopefully the last disc will be the meat of the main story.

I personally thing a gamer is someone who actually follows the industry, knows what's coming out and just generally knows how gaming works. One could argue that anybody who occasionally plays a game is a gamer, to which I would simply reply "we need a new term for those other kinds of people then, as everybody is a gamer these days".

I will always be a PC gamer. I'm so used to the PC that whenever I play my PS3 everything just feels so limited with a gamepad and not having the freedom of a desktop, programs, movies, internet by simply alt tabbing

I dont think it could be considered "hardcore gaming" yet. Of course consoles and PCs not only can handle bigger and more intricate games, but are economically focused primarily on those kinds of "serious" gamers. But iOS has potential if its hardware can be used to create immersive, hardcore appeal for all the epicness that let video game systems be allowed to be considered "validated" as true video game experiences. Anybody who says only PCs are validated are too prideful of there hardware.

A gamer isn't based on what system he plays. It's based on what types of games he or she plays. A old school gamer considered themselves a gamer for finishing Secret of Mana etc and now that is available on the iphone for example.

UGGGGHHHHHHHHH I love LA Noire but it really gets boring sometimes you have to take side missions just to break up the monotony which sucks because I would rather have fun diverse missions instead of just cases all the fucking time anyone else feel the same way?????

@jramos990 I don't. I'm at homicide right now, and these cases just don't let me rest! I have the killer in all the cases, but there are so many circumstances not answered it makes me feel there is something big coming.
It really is a great game if it can keep my thoughts occupied all day...

@baligaandris I'm also at homicide but it seems like the formula is the same collect clues for evidence and question people for leads with the car/foot chases sprinkled in. I also feel like there needs to be more of a main story line because it just seems like the cases are small stories and the rest of the story, like them talking about the BD killer and WWII flash backs it doesn't seem like the main story is really developing but hopefully the last disc will be the meat of the main story.

Age probably play a big part in this. If we're talking about an only child, 7 year old kid that plays games on his mom's phone as much as he can, but cannot get his hands on a gaming console, he might be a gamer in heart. As soon as this kid is allowed a chance to play on a console, he will do so, and etc etc... you get it. yeaaa...
