Misleading title, there are several lions there running interference. The buffalo can sense it's futility. And also, the buffalo is already "wounded". What lead me here was someone claiming that lone male lions regularly kill cape buffalo. LMAO, in reality it's a sick animal vs a lion pride, although to the respect of the male lion, he did do the killing pretty much by himself. Wonder how wounded this buffalo was.

Humans have a prey-predator dichotomy. I won't run from animals that could easily outrun me. My natural instinct would be to fight. I'm mostly predator in my mindset. You'll probably run. I can remember I never ran once from a dog as a kid. I'd usually freeze, facing the dog as if ready to fight. This is why i've never been bitten. Those who ran got mauled.

If i ran you would too its usually sensible with animals but for some yes you stand your ground. however I am saying that humans do run as an instinct. It helps them live longer. Even if you did fight back, you wouldn't leave unscathed, and back then, we didn't have hospitals. The creation of technology has dulled this instinct but its not gone. I'm not saying you wont fight.
