You're not using a digital signal via the laser? So rather than on/off you're modulating beam intensity to represent frequency?

This stuff interest me haha hey people I wonna study IT in the network department like making and learning about All sorts of Networks and how to maintain and manage them etc at Uni but I don't know what the Subject is called can anyone tell me please thanks in advance. this is noob stuff. I did this back in high school... we also used about 12 mirrors. The pros can transfer super fast internet connection using this same technology. in the big tech shows that need alot of pipe they beam lasers from the rooftops.

Damn MIT students with their hard to understand explanation about fiber optic transmission. Actually, I like the video, maybe I'll make something like this if i can find some fiber optic cable.

its not really that hard, although the principles are easy to understand, it would take a certain level of understanding from electronics and programming pov. im asuming the guy with the beard is the programmer and the guy with the silly haircut is the electronics nerd :)
