  • its like the japanese version of lasagna

  • レシピを教えて下さってありがとうございます^^

    ヘルシーお好み焼きは何カロリーか知っていますか?

  • @yoshidakaren 350カロリーくらいじゃないかと思います☆

  • I live in Atlanta Georgia USA and I don't know where to find this yam. I got another yam, but it's the type that is used in the west indies/Jamaica.

  • @cramsa this yam i used is not heavy. i don't know if you can use that yam or not, but you can try. because i think this recipe goes pretty well with potato. i never tried it though... maybe i can try potato someday ;) hehe

  • @cramsa you can find them at the Japanese grocery store called Tomato. There are 2 locations. One in Norcross and the other in Smyrna.

  • @cramsa There used to be a several Japanese Grocery store in Atlanta Metro Area when I was in area decades ago, but seems there are only one left in area at Norcross. Alternatively, you can go to Asian Grocery Store (chinese grocery super market is good bet) to get Nagaimo Yam

If you have trouble finding them, you can actually substitute with starch. I used that sometime when I am short of yam and was not enough for portion I wanted

  • @hidenorii thank you :D

  • I loved this recipe and enjoyed cooking it!! However, in future videos you might want to warn your viewers that they might get a skin reaction when handling the nagaimo or Japanese Yam. After I cooked this recipe, my hands were itchy and red for hours!! But it was delicious!!

  • @00Crling that is a good point! thank you!!! i will!!! even in japan, people need this warning. we forget, too, and so do i... oops

  • BACON STRIPS?

  • This video is a favorite on Ghana

  • Okanomiyaki, is my favorite japanese food!

You can still make it in the pan right? We don't have a microwave >:C

  • THIS LOOKS SOO DELICIOUS :D i wanna try one!

  • holy crap your microwave is like a transformer

  • This may sound rude to you but i don't think that it is healthy at all...look at all of the fatty stuff on the bacon etc :(

  • Oh My Gah! looking at your microwave i feel like i'm from the past :O

  • the background music sounds like gatsby's ad~!

  • i would like to buy a book like that ^ ^

  • Oh my goodness, that bowl is really cute!

  • why are this food all healthy i am big guy and i love fatty foods but does japan have any real fatty foods if so can you tell me what they are

  • hi! i enjoy watching your videos and hopefullly will try some of your recipe. do you have chocolate treats recipe? i love your pink brownie recipe, do you have some easy to make chocolate recipe and cute looking too? :)

  • you have a great taste in music for your videos :)

  • omfg thats sooooo cool XDD

  • Do you need to add any oil to it?

  • @APOXXK no. adding oil sometimes burn the container so i don't recommend to do that. it won't stick to the silicone case, if you use the right product.

  • ur microwave is like ... amazing =o

  • Why was there something moving?! in the food of course.

  • @JMRwazup you mean katsuobushi (bonito flakes)? it moves because it shrinks but that is the beauty of okonomiyaki. hehe

  • @ochikeron Aww thats a relief!!! I thought they were actually Moving xD

  • @JMRwazup Yeah, ochikeron is right, I believe they also move because of the heat, there's no need to worry it's not a bug or anything. xD

  • cool!how do you eat it? like a fork or like pizza?

  • @Cupcom5 we eat with chopsticks ;D like you eat other jap foods! i am glad to find you watching my videos that i uploaded in the past. they are still good forever, so i hope you find something you like! hehe

  • @ochikeron ur videos are awesome,i like learning how to make new things

  • yay! i've always wanted to eat okonomiyaki or monjayaki but there aren't any restaurants here in Australia (well if there are some they are far far far away) but thanks to you, now i can! because there is a microwave very close by, right in my kitchen :D

  • That is definately not a "yam" by the standards of my grocery store ... is there another word for it, so that I might be able to know what I am looking for?

  • @PurpleGhost i also made a note here, too. Dissorea Japonica Thunb (Japanese yam)

  • @PurpleGhost Sometimes it's called mountain yam.

  • @save10cents - Ah, thank you very much. I haven't seen a root vegetable called that before - but I'll have a look and see if I find anything. ;)

  • what is the song you use around 2:14? because i heard this song in a gatsby commercial before

  • @Thekawaiistrawberrie you know very well. hehe the music info is always in the description box ;D

  • how do you know when its fully cooked through?

  • @Vickilovesyaoi13 that's a good question! you can open and check for the first time until you get used to cooking it. why i say cooking time may differ is because sometimes microwave burns the food... so just make sure you don't burn it! :)

  • Love this recipe! I was wondering what the song you used was called. Thanks :)

  • @dJuventas thanks! i have the music info in the description :D

  • WOW I want a microwave like that !!!!

  • Ooh I love Okonomiyaki, and this looks nice and easy :D

  • very nice! that silicon pot thing is intristing, and the okonomiyaki looks tasty!

silicon is really a great thing! its so usefull!

  • Great idea to make okonomiyaki in the microwave!

  • @MrJingjong thanks!!!
