  • @yandialexis100 look "Oye como va" was written by Tito Puente in 1963 and popuarized by Santana's rendition of the song in 1970 on their album Abaxas. Anything else you want to learn?? Not Cuba ok was written by Tito Puente.

  • @Decature194 oye como va....was inspired by tito puente FROM CHANCHULLO from Israel Lopez "Cachao" (Cuba) A Legend the inventor of MAMBO!!!!!He is considered a master of descarga which mean latin jam sessions.....tito puente and santana later went to israel lopez to ask him he would sue them for similarity......cachao told them..."nope just have fun making music"

    passed away I pulled over and started to CRY. Yes cry he was a very dear friend and I had the opportunity to work with him on stage in several clubs in and around NYC. I did',nt make the trip up for the arraignments, but he was in my heart and prayers. I miss him dearly. Jorge/Brooklyn. PS what ever became of Andy & Jerry Gonzalez.   • I saw Tito Puente at the Project Puerto rico concert in the 90's he was great, I saw his son in concert the night before last at the Ritz Carlton in Manhattan and he is the image of his dad, you could his fathers face in Tito jrs face, great stuff !!!!
