I have a bunch of scars on my legs from scratching them too much a few years back does anyone know anything I can do to get rid if them or reduce them?
About a year ago I got studded badly whilst playing football(soccer) I know have a scar but it's like a hole ,any one know anything that would help make it less deep?? Xx

@forevercold88 i dont think you can fill them, but you could def improve the appearance by getting microdermabrasion. i dont know any natural remedies, sorry.

Was huge misteak. and idk if this is a scar because my arm was bleeding but my arm was healing because i put that alcohol aid stuff on. but like my arm is tan from last christmas when i went to florida. and when i cutted and it healed it left white marks because of my white skin. but im tan around tho's marks. if i tan will they go away? there noticeable thats why i where sweat shirts.

I think all of you guys should rather go to an dermatologist and ask about pills to get your acne off, they mostly help extremely, I know what I am talking about :D I used or get "Aknenormin" and these pills are AWESOME :D they work ;D you can also ask if he knows "Aknenormin" and get them, so good luck guys :D

to get rid of your scar, try scar care by dr. blaine. i got my appendix removed about 7years ago and i started using scar care about a year ago and my scar i s almost gone.
@muttz9855 i used to have really bad skin before and not much helped. then i started getting microdermabrasian treatments and converted to clean and clear. it worked wonders. that or i just outgrew the acne.

I mashed up some fresh raspberries and just rubbed it on my skin. It was slightly better but it doesn't work as good as aloe vera. Try it if you would like/ :)

Hi, I was hoping on getting some more recommendations from u. I wasn't sure what all to use at once & for how long. Should I start with the lemon juice, Aloe Vera,coco butter,bio oil. I've had this scar going on 4yrs now. I have tried the silicone sheets, Mederma, vitamin E oil &even steroids injections.None of it work. It just felt irritated! So now I'm left with a hypertrophic scar. I feel so insecure. Not to mention I have really fair skin so it stands out even more.Please lmk what u think
@polishhunn - Hi, the only no invasive treatment medically proven to assist scars and even mature ones is silicon sheeting. There is now also silicon cream but only the sheeting has been used as a medical grade proven treatment. It has been shown to be effective on scars upto 20 years old too. There is no medical evidence backing any such topical creams such as mederma, bio oil or vitamin e on treatment of scars despite numerous tests.
all these were great ideas :D but there is also another option that you can use that works miracles! :) its called Tepezcochuite oil which eliminates dry skin, dry cracks, stains, Jiote, burns, scars, wounds, reconstructs skin! :) its been used for generations:)

i used vitamin E on my face for an alergic reaction i got on my face but maybe if u get a chance if u get any more scars u can use Emprizone and or Mederma its helped alot!!

@bubblescheer thanks, i try. try cutting a lemon in half and rubbing it on the dark areas, let it sit for about an hour then exfoliate the area with either a loofa or a scrub. dark areas are usually caused by dead skin cells so exfoliating should help this. then use some cocoa butter to keep the area moisturized. finally when going into the sun, make sure to apply sunscreen to the exposed areas. hope this helps :)

I used the vitamin E when I had really bad sun burn. I poked the hole in the tablets and rubbed it on my face....the sun burn was gone in like 3 to 4 days. Also Bio-Oil is really good for scars as well. I had scars on my face but with the use of the bio-oil there is nothing there now.
@Jimbo654ify because skin growth is a continuous process and after time the outer, dead layer of skin cells start to peel off this isnt a permanent effect. Howver, once the layers do start to peel off you will notice a big difference in the darkness of the scar as oppose to not using the lemon juice in the first place. hope this helped.
wow its amazing how much confidence you have with a scar on your face! i have a couple from surfing almost a year ago..got 17 stitches and now part of my mustache doesnt grow. i get self conscious about especially in the sun cuz it gets real shiny but props to you for being so positive lol ive tried mederma &scarzone...but so far scarprin has been the most effective (anything silicone-based but its a little pricey) i discovered that you should use sunblock as well to prevent it from darkening
Was that the Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gel you were holding up? Have you actually use that for your face too? I have bad acne scar wondering if that will help get rid of them.
@BeautyToFashion yes that is banana boat aloe and yes ive actually used it. it helps to reduce redness and actually minimize the look of the scar, but the plant works soooo much better and faster.
Actually lemon juice does not get rid of scars but lightens the area where the scar is to make it look less visible.. It works for dark underarms and black spots on your knees as well. So its a good method and u can just use lemon instead of buying lemon juice... It's the same thing :)
Is it okay to do without the sunscreen? Can I just apply the lemon juice in the night and wash off the next morning and go under the sun? Will it cause any damage to my skin?
@TheJNSL no no no!! if you apply the lemon juice, wash it off, and then go in the sun for extended amounts of time it can leave brown colored pigmentation on your skin and uneven your skin tone, so sunblocks a def must. and i wouldnt recommend leaving it over night, it will dry out your skin and might get the area super light because it works fast. i say dont leave on longer than an hour...
Nice video! I have a few questions though. How long will you have to use lemon juice on scars for them to "fade"? Does it work on old scars (more than a year old)? Can lemon juice harm your skin in the long run and make the skin insensitive to the sun. Let's say I use it for one month and then stops. Will the sun discoulor the area that I put lemon juice on?
@swedishfootballfan whoa...thats a lot of questions lol. ok depending on how bad the scar is, it can take a few weeks to a lil more than a month to fade, but it works pretty fast. yes it does work on old scars and as long and as long as you aren't laying out, if you wash it off and put sunscreen it shouldn't harm the skin or cause sensitivity. the sun will only continue to discolor the area if lemon juice remains on the skin but other than that your fine. hope this helped...
@xxxmelissa96 the best thing to use on old scars would be either mederma or cocoa butter. you simply rub it into the scar 3x a day in a circular motion for a few months (old scars will take much longer to lighten, you gotta be consistent). the rubbing motion helps by breaking down the thick collagen caused from the scar. they both hydrate the skin which is good in promoting lubrication and lightening of the scars. remember it wont go away fast, these products take time but they really do help.
@xxxmelissa96 also...try incorporating the lemon juice onto it. lemon juice works really well with lightening the scars and it might speed up the process.

My guess is probably that your skin colour changed (I know it sounds stupid but probably a tan or something?)
Or maybe a change in diet could have affect - having something to do with blood flow and such.
But I'm no expert, so don't take my word for it!

Omg I lobe how you answer everyones questions :) most beauty gurus don't do that. Anyway, I have a medium skin tone, but really dark ugly elbows and knees. Do you know how I can lighten them fast. Like in only a few weeks? Thanks

@bubblescheer thanks, i try. try cutting a lemon in half and rubbing it on the dark areas, let it sit for about an hour then exfoliate the area with either a loofa or a scrub. dark areas are usually caused by dead skin cells so exfoliating should help this. then use some cocoa butter to keep the area moisturized. finally when going into the sun, make sure to apply sunscreen to the exposed areas. hope this helps :)

I used the vitamin E when I had really bad sun burn. I poked the hole in the tablets and rubbed it on my face....the sun burn was gone in like 3 to 4 days. Also Bio-Oil is really good for scars as well. I had scars on my face but with the use of the bio-oil there is nothing there now.

Are the effects of lemon juice permanent? Or do you have to keep applying it forever?

@Jimbo654ify because skin growth is a continuous process and after time the outer, dead layer of skin cells start to peel off this isnt a permanent effect. Howver, once the layers do start to peel off you will notice a big difference in the darkness of the scar as oppose to not using the lemon juice in the first place. hope this helped.

wow its amazing how much confidence you have with a scar on your face! i have a couple from surfing almost a year ago..got 17 stitches and now part of my mustache doesnt grow. i get self conscious about especially in the sun cuz it gets real shiny but props to you for being so positive lol ive tried mederma &scarzone...but so far scarprin has been the most effective (anything silicone-based but its a little pricey) i discovered that you should use sunblock as well to prevent it from darkening

Was that the Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gel you were holding up? Have you actually use that for your face too? I have bad acne scar wondering if that will help get rid of them.

@BeautyToFashion yes that is banana boat aloe and yes ive actually used it. it helps to reduce redness and actually minimize the look of the scar, but the plant works soooo much better and faster.

Actually lemon juice does not get rid of scars but lightens the area where the scar is to make it look less visible.. It works for dark underarms and black spots on your knees as well. So its a good method and u can just use lemon instead of buying lemon juice... It's the same thing :)

@forumsperson but lemon juice isnt as expensive as buying multiple lemons and it lasts much longer.

Is it okay to do without the sunscreen? Can I just apply the lemon juice in the night and wash off the next morning and go under the sun? Will it cause any damage to my skin?

@TheJNSL no no no!! if you apply the lemon juice, wash it off, and then go in the sun for extended amounts of time it can leave brown colored pigmentation on your skin and uneven your skin tone, so sunblocks a def must. and i wouldnt recommend leaving it over night, it will dry out your skin and might get the area super light because it works fast. i say dont leave on longer than an hour...

Nice video! I have a few questions though. How long will you have to use lemon juice on scars for them to "fade"? Does it work on old scars (more than a year old)? Can lemon juice harm your skin in the long run and make the skin insensitive to the sun. Let's say I use it for one month and then stops. Will the sun discoulor the area that I put lemon juice on?

@swedishfootballfan whoa...thats a lot of questions lol. ok depending on how bad the scar is, it can take a few weeks to a lil more than a month to fade, but it works pretty fast. yes it does work on old scars and as long and as long as you aren't laying out, if you wash it off and put sunscreen it shouldn't harm the skin or cause sensitivity. the sun will only continue to discolor the area if lemon juice remains on the skin but other than that your fine. hope this helped...

@xxxmelissa96 the best thing to use on old scars would be either mederma or cocoa butter. you simply rub it into the scar 3x a day in a circular motion for a few months (old scars will take much longer to lighten, you gotta be consistent). the rubbing motion helps by breaking down the thick collagen caused from the scar. they both hydrate the skin which is good in promoting lubrication and lightening of the scars. remember it wont go away fast, these products take time but they really do help.

@xxxmelissa96 also...try incorporating the lemon juice onto it. lemon juice works really well with lightening the scars and it might speed up the process.
