I mean please, why all the comparisons of Mariah to Celine? No comparison in reality. Using a car analogy, it would be like comparing a Porche 911 Turbo to a Chevy Cavalier.

She does a nice way with the song, which is very good, but this pouring out of paeans to Dion is incomprehensible. Most of today's singers are not singers. What you hear is manipulated and it's about sleekness, not communication. What is she adding to the song? Dion is better than most, but all she basically does is use the right phrasing and hits the right cadences. but she pales in comparison to people like Irene Kral, Felicia Sanders, and Weslia Whitfield. Objectivity, people.

Mariah wasn't a bad singer in her day. She's a great songwriter which is something Celine has never really done. However, Celine Dion has ALWAYS been a better singer. No doubt about that.
This is absolutely without exception a very moving and emotional rendition of this lovely song. Why o why do people always compare Celine with the awful fake diva Mariah Carey, she couldn't lace her boots . If this is lip-synched, she's bloody good at it. I disagree with the knockers though. Her voice is pitch perfect and this makes it difficult to hear the difference between her cds and her live performances. Consider this though. My Heart Will Go On was recorded in one take. And it was done without ANY background accompaniment.

Mariah Carey is not in the same league as Celine. Celine sings beautifully with so much emotion every time. This song is one of her best. She's a fantastic live performer and I'm happy she is returning to Las Vegas next year, her "New Day" show was fabulous. @nickthenextcr7 Celine is the only diva ledgend left that still has her voice. Something is wrong with Mariah's voice, I forgot what it was, but it can be corrected with surgery, but it's risky. Anyway, Mariah can no longer hit that "dog whistle" pitch, and Whitney Houston...well, let's leave that subject alone. ^_^

@nickthenextcr7 and you know what... it's not just the talent cuz both mariah and celine have beautiful voices and can sing very well but here's the difference there are those that thing songs that we can relate too songs about getting money or some guy a girl may like or having kids or w/e.. and mariah has many songs that fit in that group and those are good songs and celine even has some songs in that group too but

... out of the two "i think" personally that celine has more songs that bring the chills the tears an emotion soo unexplainable that it becomes breath taking yes mariah has some of those too but "i think" celine has way more and the breath taking songs go beyond an awesome voice they go beyond the human ear and hit straight into the a persons soul and that's it and oh how true it is...

I still don't understand why it is so important to some people to state or 'prove' why they think Celine Dion sometimes lip syncs to her own voice.
She is still the most amazing singer of our time, whether she ever does that or not.

Looping 21: Ok, i may be wrong in what i said, dont know why i was so sure she lipsynched allmost every song...guess it was a while ago i saw the concert. However she totally is a unic artist, with a voice containing more emotions and soul then any other performer...and its more unusual for her to lip songs than other artist, but i guess thats because she simply rules:o)

OMG, get a life people, number one, it is a fact that Celine Dion does NOT lip sync and never has and if she does people are told why and it is usually due to a throat infection or whatever else, and even if she did lip sync, which she does not, who gives a shit ffs.

Tansku81, you are absolutely wrong, she doesn't lipsynch the whole Show, in this Concert she sings live : " if you asked me to", " can't help falling in love" and also the fisrt song in french written by her mother , but I agree the rest of the show was in fact lip synched including this song. Just to let everyone know I am a Huge Celine fan and have been to different concerts, she does sing live and sound amazing, but in this concert she only sings live 3 songs mentioned above.
