This really only works on tracks where vocals are dead-center panned and all the other instruments you WANT to keep are not, Even then, unless those instruments are hard panned they will have volume reduced. in lots of old tunes vocals are often panned hard left or hard right, In this case one can simply mute that channel. IF vocals are slightly panned, one might get away with using this method shown in the video and adjusting the gain on one channel. even so none of these methods are perfect.

It's not actually removing but minimizing the vocals by canceling the center channel of a stereo MPX track (you cannot do this on a mono recorded track). You can do this without a software. Try this on your home component: "remove the negative wires on your both left and right speaker system. Join the 2 negative wires together in such a way that both left and right speakers were connected in series as one load in your stereo system. Then voila! You got a Karaoke version of your favorite song!"

ok, i got a few questions... so, like with a lot of other people it didn't work for me. i used pendulum's propane nightmares as a song. the vocals don't dissapear at all, the only effect of using the possibility to invert seems to be an increased reverb which obviously sucks due to the lack of quality. i also think that it's not really possible to create "instrumentals" out of original tracks. isn't it impossible to split up a created mp3 file into it's original segments?
