The whole dynamic is just gone. The show was about J.D. and how he interacted with those around him. Once J.D. was gone, it should have been time to say goodbye, no matter how well loved the other characters were.

I dunno man, I kNoW season 9 can't compare to the 1-8 original..by I think the comparisons killed the show, not the content. It really looked promising, not EVERY idea looks great the moment it starts man!!

if they hadn't tried to pretend that JD would still be in it and made up a new name for the hospital (i mean the building being rebuilt was sooo unlikely considering the budget issues in season 8) then it may have been good, but it just wasnt the same quality as the rest of scrubs and so was kinda ruined by us trying to compare it.

It's similar humor, but lacking what what is ESSENTIAL to comedy: delivery. Non of the new cast could deliver a joke and make it actually funny. That main offender here was Lucy, I'm really quite shocked that they picked such a bland and boring lead.

@Stradivarius8457 apparently were not getting anywhere. there all good actors, scrubs was always one of the best casting productions out there. And I believe they do deliver quite well. plus: its scrubs! finally no more repeating season 1-8 and quoting all the lines. finally something new.

the new scrubs isn't the same because the actors just don't have the same chemistry. That, and there's no Zach Braff. :)

They could have made season 9 better by not having J.D. in it at all but just kept him as the narrator, and then just let him guest star in later episodes and in that way get more views.. ABC, should had let Bill change the name..

@emil5634 No hopefully not. Yes 8 was the last but wanted to make another season, even tho Scrubs had a low viewer number. Bill Lawrence tried to change the name (because it's a spin-off) but he couldn't so that why it's season 9.

Scrubs=JD=Zach Braff. You simply can't have Scrubs without JD as the main character and narrator. It simply isn't scrubs. I agree with LikeSTokio about it being the worst.

@Butcher851 Well it wasn't Scrubs it was supposed to be a spinoff. Bill Lawrence tried to make that abundantly clear but ABC didn't want to.

I love Scrubs ! But the ninth season is the worst, of course (imo). But Dave Franco is quite cute.
