Ughh I absolutely can't stand kiera knightly, especially as Elizabeth Bennett. This adaptation could have been so much better with just that one casting change!
Anyway, they did a clever job piecing this trailer together, adding parts from different scenes in the movie with each other that kept the story from being worn out by the time you actually watched it. This is one of my absolute favorites... ever.

I think in my opinion Matthew MacFadyen is the best Mr. Darcy because Matthew has a way of looking vulnerable, yet strong. He's softspoken and yet commanding. There's something about the way he acts his role that makes him so much more attractive to me. I think that its in his manner of expressing so much in his face and gestures. Either way, I love Mr. Darcy in the 1995 version too. Mr. Darcy is the best no matter who acts him out!
The best thing about this movie is the humor of Mr. Bingley. I love how he says really stupid things, and then the expression on his face is like O_o But then he just smiles and nods, like everything is just fine and dandy even though he just said something that makes no sense whatsoever. XD

It's a little depressing because of the stretch of not exactly knowing what's going on with Elinor's and Marianne's love interests and the pain they go through with their love and expectations. I Love the characters, some are very annoying and some are annoying and amusing like the intrusive Mrs. Jennings. In a way I would say there is a more mysterious aspect to Sense & sensibility in trying to figure out what some of the characters are hiding and aren't being truthful about.

Err... I'm sorry, I'm afraid I don't understand your question. When I wrote "something British," I meant music composed by British composers. "The Little Women" is a classic American story, so using music from that is a strange choice esp. when there are so many beautiful British pieces that would fit the role of this trailer's music in both beauty and theme.

i have just finished reading the book for the first time having watched the BBC series and this movie a number of times, i already prefered the series over the movie and now i can see why. the movie is a diluted, washed out nonsence compared to the book, whereas the series sticks to the book beautifully. Obviously the movie had to cram everything in to fit the length of the film but it wasn't just bits missed out, but the oversimplfied language i find annoying.

I just watched like the first 15 minutes of this shit with my girlfriend. This was absolute garbage. I had to turn it off and just burn the movie for her.
this is definitely one of the best movies of all times! i heard it was great, the novel was excellent and after seeing, man o man, it was brilliant! the cast was perfect. they couldnt have picked anyone better to portray Lizzy and Darcy...

I totally agree with you on the former. You summed up the film in that first sentence. Nothing can ever top Colin Firth, Jennifer Ehle and the whole cast in the 95 version. Just phenomenal.
I remember when I first started watching the movie I thought Mr. Darcy wasn't handsome at all. By the end, I was head over heels in love with him. I hate when they do that! LOL. I love the story. I kind of hope I find a guy who is handsome that I can't stand, but end up loving in the end.
I didn't get to watching this movie because I didn't really like keira knightley's acting and MM (who I didn't know then) didn't seem really appealing to me. HA! After I watched this film mmm lets just say I can't stop watching it and I too fell in love with MM. Also Keira was great in this film.
i started reading the book when i was 13 and it was hard to understand and now i barely found out they made a movie of it . i was hoping it would be just like the story but its not. what happened to jane bennet and mr. bingley and all the other cool characters!!!!

I adore this movie! I have lost count of how many times I have watched this adaptation of Pride and Prejudice (nor do I know how many times I have watched the BBC version!) I does not matter how many times I watch this movie, I still sigh every time Mr. Darcy appears. I still struggle with whom makes a better Darcy; Collin Firth or Matthew MacFayden...

What possessed these adolescent filmmakers to make this silly turd of movie? Nothing can top the 1995 BBC Version . Stupid teens who pour over Harry Potter and populate High School Musical premieres will love this trash.

I totally agree with you on the former. You summed up the film in that first sentence. Nothing can ever top Colin Firth, Jennifer Ehle and the whole cast in the 95 version. Just phenomenal.
And I am not a fan of Keira.

I remember when I first started watching the movie I thought Mr. Darcy wasn't handsome at all. By the end, I was head over heels in love with him. I hate when they do that! LOL. I love the story. I kind of hope I find a guy who is handsome that I can't stand, but end up loving in the end.

I didn't get to watching this movie because I didn't really like keira knightley's acting and MM (who I didn't know then) didn't seem really appealing to me. HA! After I watched this film mmm lets just say I can't stop watching it and I too fell in love with MM. Also Keira was great in this film.

i started reading the book when i was 13 and it was hard to understand and now i barely found out they made a movie of it . i was hoping it would be just like the story but its not. what happened to jane bennet and mr. bingley and all the other cool characters!!!!
