It is always good to have much of simulations than multiple choice. That the way prospective CPAs are to be tested. And it is lot more easier to present what you know than what they want to know.......!!!! But the problem is I am not clear what is the change and when it is incorporated in tests,,,,,,,,I prepared for last 3 months and now when time to take exam.....changes!!! God help me!!!
IM SO SCARED TO EVEN TAKE THE TEST NOW OMG LOL... I WILL BE TAKING IT IN 2012... I HOPE I PASS IT. I HAVE A QUESTION : WILL THE PASSING SCORE STILL BE A 75? I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW HARD IT IS, SO MANY PEOPLE FAIL THE EXAM AND ALL WE NEED TO PASS IS A 75. I WAS THINKING OF TAKING IT WITH 120 CREDITS BUT I MIGHT WAIT TILL I GET 150 CREDITS LOL...OMG IM SO SCARED LOL
The worst part of all of this is that it will take a year or so for all the test-prep programs to do a really good job incorporating these changes into study materials. But other than that it doesn't sound too bad.
Fortunately, we've been hard at work for the last several months preparing for the upcoming changes, including the IFRS additions in FAR.
Roger CPA Review is the only review course to update all materials twice per year. So, while other courses will be unprepared for the new CBTe, our students will be ready to PASS!
I took REG this May and didn't find anything different than I expected. Good luck guys...!!! I'll take BEC in July 2011.

It seems financial and BEC are going through significant changes. Audit and regulation do not seem to be very different.

So the only "new material" will be IFRS?
Will be taking the REG section in July 2010.
I will be sure to pass the FAR section in the Oct-Nov 2010 testing window. Or perish in the quest!!

If I pass BEC at the end of 2010, and take the other 3 sections in 2011, that would mean I can avoid written communication completely. Am I right?
