We are a Republic with Democratic Institutions for good or for ill. Democracy raised it's head in Ancient Greece when City States peppered the Grecian landscape. Since then numerous Republics have risen and fallen mostly due to egomaniac dictators who through turmoil and unrest have seized power. Fortunately this Republic still stands mainly because each state is allowed to retain Republic status. Each state has it's own Constitution, Judicial, Legislative, and Executive branch of Government.

A picture of a flying Super Fortress B-29 in the video makes me think of My Dad Clarence Ziegler, he sat at the back as a tailgunner for 11 hours every mission if they made it back. He was in the first four waves ever to go over the hump. When the Last flying B-29 FiFi came to Reading pa and I saw that tiny little place he sat at in a wooden seat I knew what crourage was. He made it home and the first thing he did was get a used Bendix Tube table radio I have it and restored it.
