I still do believe that the fourth kind is based on true events and the director chose to make it into a fictional movie. But that doesn't mean I don't believe in aliens. In my opinion, I still believe they exist and some have abducted people. Plus, I sometimes still believe that the director might have talked to some private citizens but couldn't add the real footage. So he had to make fake footage and have them look real.

Can you tell me how you know that the "real" footage was fake? And I thought the movie was disturbing, especially the part when the aliens said something about "it's not time for the world to know"
I have gotta disagree there, I honestly went out of that cinema, questioning myself on whether the footage was real or not. The hype of the movie is so catchy and is hung with suspense, that I believe, unless the movie producer or actors admit the footage is not realy, it may actually be proper 'authentic' footage.
It's disturbing' if it's true. It's definately creepy. I'm not sure why they made it the way they made it. It was hard to distinguish the double screen style using the actors vs. the alleged actual footage. In other words, it kind of watered it down. So I just concentrated on the footage to get a better effect. If you actually study ufology, find out the main events that have taken place through the years, like I have done, then you'd probably be able to comment on this film a little better.

I don't necessarily think it's completely lies, i mean if they did happen to make fake video footage and audio then even then there is the Sumerian factor like the carvings on walls. I live in alaska during the summer, and from what i heard around it really happened and apparently people actually worship these fuckin alien demons....Not just in nome but all small towns. The police have a public documentary of the sightings. As for me...I dont know man, i think people need to do more research than to sit in front of a camera and just assume but hey who really cares about these beings invading your land and butraping you with probe action toys for experiments?

I would have to pick Paranormal Activity because when the lights went out I thought "what if" and after I found out that Fourth Kind was fake, I never thought about alien abduction again. Scary for me is when you think about it and remember the fear you had when you first saw it. What about you?

I have gotta disagree there, I honestly went out of that cinema, questioning myself on whether the footage was real or not. The hype of the movie is so catchy and is hung with suspense, that I believe, unless the movie producer or actors admit the footage is not realy, it may actually be proper 'authentic' footage.

It's disturbing' if it's true. It's definately creepy. I'm not sure why they made it the way they made it. It was hard to distinguish the double screen style using the actors vs. the alleged actual footage. In other words, it kind of watered it down. So I just concentrated on the footage to get a better effect. If you actually study ufology, find out the main events that have taken place through the years, like I have done, then you'd probably be able to comment on this film a little better.

To those of you who think the footage used in this movie was real... On the one hand, I am more than willing to entertain a conspiracy theory. On the other: a dude levitates, a chick speaks in an otherworldly voice, and a cop car video camera records a saucer-shaped craft manuvering over a house. If any one of those three things were real, it would have changed the course of civilization a decade ago, when it all "happened". At least this girl is hot--and you can believe that!

I don't necessarily think it's completely lies, i mean if they did happen to make fake video footage and audio then even then there is the Sumerian factor like the carvings on walls. Which there is basically the same thing in ancient Egypt carvings and cavemen's paintings. As well Mayan and Aztec carvings. Also there happens to actually have been FBI investigations. There might be more just that i personally haven't found it.

the movie was probably based on real case studies - not necessarily at Nome - in fact similar cases around the world involve abudction not by ET but by the Jinn or Anunaki or Fallen Angels who don't come here in spaceships - check out wikipedia and enter Secret Commonwealth - this will give the 16th century case of Robert KIrk of Aberfoyle Scotland who interacted with 'them' he eventually was taken but his book remains in old English

I did check my sources. The names never existed because they changed the names in the movie to protect there privacy, they even said that in the movie. The government hides this shit. My dad worked in area 51, you know that place that "never existed" Like everyone here, I made sure that I know what I'm talking about.
