Sandi Patty has been in my head with her amazing voice since I was a young teen. Now, forty in a few weeks and she makes my soul shine for Him! Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!! I praise God she found real love! Not everyone gets it right the first time! & my God is a forgiving God. Thank you Sandi for sharing your phenominal voice with us all these years. :)
To get forgiveness we need to give forgiveness. God above is the only judge and I know that Sandi Patti touches my heart and soul with her music and voice. God doesn't expect us to be perfect, only to keep trying. We all stumble. Sandi Patty just happened to stumble in a public way. I don't think God gave her all this wonderful talent to stop using it. We serve a merciful God, who forgives.

You can still be a christian and mess up. people have this misconception of chritians being perfect. Well no one can be perfect. We all fall short of pure goodness. I personally cannot condone the things Sandi has done in her past - thankfully it's not up to me to judge her. I can, however, enjoy a good song and talent when I hear it...I enjoyed this thoroughly. @srisner2009 It all depends on if you think one can "live in sin" and "still be forgiven". As many in the church like to "pick and choose" what sins are forgiven and what aren't. Prime example......many preach and believe that a "practicing" homosexual is hellbound and can't be forgiven since "they live in sin" yet on the flip side of this, they somehow believe it is accpetable for a straight person to divorce and remarry (which the Bible over and over) declares this as living in adultery.

@erdolevi When the Son sets you free, you are free. I always think of Peter. After Calvary, Jesus sent Peter a message to meet Him. He was forgiven and not just RESTORED TO MINISTRY--he was given GREATER ministry. I choose to believe that is what he does for ALL of us. Judgment belongs to an all-knowing God.

Hoover, have you been able to find anywhere, the original broadcast video that was done on ABC of Sandy's rendition of the National Anthem she sung at Liberty Weekend in 1986 in New York at the Rededication of the Statue of Liberty, before then President and Mrs. Reagan? ABC's phone lines melted with people calling in asking, "Who was THAT!?!?"
Listening to Sandy's songs kept me encouraged through some of the worst years of my life. I am glad God gave us artists with special gifts to help us along the way. Thank you for posting these videos.

I personally cannot condone the things Sandi has done in her past - thankfully it's not up to me to judge her. I can, however, enjoy a good song and talent when I hear it...I enjoyed this thoroughly. I trust that Sandi and her indiscretion will be dealt with between her, those she has harmed, and her Lord - right where it belongs.

@srisner2009 It all depends on if you think one can "live in sin" and "still be forgiven". As many in the church like to "pick and choose" what sins are forgiven and what aren't. Prime example......many preach and believe that a "practicing" homosexual is hellbound and can't be forgiven since "they live in sin" yet on the flip side of this, they somehow believe it is accpetable for a straight person to divorce and remarry (which the Bible over and over) declares this as living in adultery.

That doesn't mean that when you sin the enemy can't come in a ravage you because you opened the door, but that does not mean that they are unforgiven. Walk in Love, not hate. @erdolevi When the Son sets you free, you are free. I always think of Peter. After Calvary, Jesus sent Peter a message to meet Him. He was forgiven and not just RESTORED TO MINISTRY--he was given GREATER ministry. I choose to believe that is what he does for ALL of us. Judgment belongs to an all-knowing God.

@erdolevi The Bible teaches forgivness. It is not our sin that causes us to land in hell. There is only one sin that is unforgivable and that is rejection of Jesus Christ. As Christians we are sanctified by the blood of Christ. When we sin, repent of the sin and ask God for forgiveness we ARE forgiven and cleansed by the prescious blood of the Son of God...

Jesus started writing on the ground asked the men that any who had never sinned, probably adultery should stone her first. They all left one by one leaving Jesus with the woman caught in adultery! A hypocrite is someone who says they believe in something when they really don't. The result is usually an intentional misinterpretation of facts, which then may portray a true hypocrite. So, christian rock bands do not represent the meaning of the word hypocrite - although sure it is possible for a hypocritical band to exist - I personally have not noticed one, but haven't been looking for one either.
