  • Rammstein brought me here! !! \„/ •o• \„/

  • Haha! Is everyone here inspired to learn by rammstein? I know that's why I'm here.

  • Sargent Schultz spoke excellent German.

  • Its a little more for 3 year olds (no defence)

  • Dies ist ein gut video.

  • RAMMS+EIN.. wtf im listening to them thats why i went here.. Spieluhr!

  • Er ist in berlin!

  • A small addition: There are also a Frankfurt an der Oder!

  • I like German language .

  • How do you say: I love little girls they make me feel so good! in german? :)

  • Excuse me, I want to learn German too. Is there any video to teach how to pronounce in German? I think learning the pronounce rule first might be helpful in learning German. Thanks a lot.

  • Thanks. The children below need to go to bed.

  • Nazi!

  • @stupidman403 You know, your account name really does suit you.

  • Im here because of my boyfriend :)

  • Thank you very much, I have lost 4 years of German classes because I chose Italian instead. This helped me very much and I'm a begginer by the way =) God bless you !

  • I am here

    because Holocaust

  • @IsraGunner shut up

  • In german you can make words nearly endless ... for example Donaudampfschiffahrtselektrizitätenhauptbetriebswerkbauunterbeamtengesellschaft

  • @moqq666 Yes thats right ( im German ) :D

  • I'm here because i wanna learn JERMAN O:

  • Hello everyone !

I have a problem to pronounce English :

    For example to say :

FRANCE = do you say "Franss" or "Frènss" ?

and for exemple : Why = "whouaï" and when you prononce Italy : "itali"

I don't understand it because you've got a "Y" at the of the word "Italy" too !

    It's complicated !

  • @redlight4u France pronounced franss. ance sounds like ants.

Why sounds like Wheye the long I sound.

Italy sounds like italee. like a long E sound.

Don't ask me how it works, it just does.

  • @redlight4u English is extremely over complicated. Mainly because contemporary American English is an amalgam of many other languages. Different letters have different sounds in different context. Some letters are "silent." All kinds of craziness.

  • @UserUnfriendly21

It's the French influence in the language. England (as many folks know) was in French hands hundreds of years ago and the English language changed from being 100% Germanic to something in between Germanic and Romanic but English is still considered a Germanic language. It's complicated though. I'm amazed that so many people in Europe speak the language so well. It's amazing really. Especially in Germany!!! And Holland as well of course.

  • @UserUnfriendly21

To be totally honest with you, American English is not an amalgam of many other languages! The accents are different here and there and everywhere but as far as "Standard American English" is concerned-ie CNN, Fox News, NBC, etc. The "unofficial" American accent seems to be very clear. Like the kind of accent you hear in Canada almost everywhere. But I agree that it is complicated. English. But German is also quite difficult for an English person!

  • Guten tag ich bin daniel. Ich wohne in england. Mein geburtstag ist 8/8. Mein schule ist sehr shrecklick. wir lernen in der Schule Deutsch.

    sorry, wenn es nicht gut

  • leck meine arsch rosette = can you help us

    :)

  • @PussiesGlorifyMe HA! I don't think so!

  • HI G:)

Question.. Is there a nother word for you other then du? cuz i think i heard sie also used as you or it might be Sie or i probably herd wrong...

  • @dimonbash you heard well, "Sie" also means "you" but it's formal form. take a look at:

I you he she it we you they you

ich du er sie es wir ihr sie Sie

  • @justytutka And What is that small "-(e)s" after the vocabularys in the video for? it doesn't seem have something to do with number form.

  • "Aufmerksamkeitsdefizitsyndrom"

! (yes it is one word :D)

  • @halo2846x The longest Lithuanian word is Nebeprisikiškiakopūsteliaudamasis.

  • Ich bin hier, weil lerne ich deutsch in der Schule! :D

  • lernt deutsch meine Leute, lernt deutsch!!!!!!!!!

  • @marylinemartine

i'm here because of Tanz der Vampire.

    did i win?

  • This is a random questions. Do Germans use the german word for "mouse" to describe a small object. example- That bed over there is a "mouse bed" because it is so tiny. The child has "mouse feet" and wears tiny shoes. Please help me out! thanks

  • @coversongsallthetime no we don't we got "winzig" for tiny and we don't use the word "Maus"="mouse" very often just for the animal and the mouse from the pc ^^

  • how am i sapost to use this im dislexic

  • I am here because of apfelstrudel. Beat that.

  • @ChazDuMan Actually, in English if you say "Where are you?" to a group of people, it is correct. "You" is the pronoun for both second person singular and second person plural. "Where are you guys" and "where are y'all" are not conventional and should not be used in a formal situation (an essay, etc.)

  • Ok I'm a bit confused. My teacher taught me to use the alveolar r to pronounce the "r's" (like how the French uses their r's). She taught me not to do any roll or trill on the r's. Is this right? In this lesson, I hear a slight trill. In addition, she taught me that the "ch" should come from the throat. This lesson, I heard an English "ch" sound on "ich" and "münchen". Help, please!

  • @gcastro44 ch sometimes is pronounced like "sch" I don't know your German teacher but is she German? I think she doesn't teach you real German ^^

Also ask her to translate this for you: Das "R" wird wird nicht wie das Französische "R" gesprochen! Wenn sie nicht wissen das Französisch eine Lateinische Sprache ist und Deutsche eine Indogermanische, oder eher um genau zu sein eine Germanische Sprache ist dann tut es mir für sie leid. Achja und das "ß" ist kein "B" nur um abzusichern.

  • Danke :)

  • Every one has a reason to learn new language, I m learning becoz I luv learning new languages....and hope will learn german lang basics... :)

  • ganze Sätze zu lernen ist einfacher, als einzelne Vokabeln. Die einzelnen Vokabeln ergeben sich dann meistens aus dem Kontext.

    Ebenso die komplizierte Grammatik

Ich glaube Deutsch ist eine schwere Sprache für jene, die sie nicht die Muttersprache ist.

  • Anyone know if theres a site where i can watch german tv shows and movies? its to help learn the language of course, im also learning japanese and watch JTV shows has helped alot

  • @Erok9 Type in "Switch Reloaded" on YT.

  • They du and ihr are both informal ?? Do they mean Du is informal and Ihr is formal ??

  • @NehuAbhay no you say "Du" to people you know. for example your parents or friends. "Sie" is formal. you say "Sie" to people which are not familiar. "Ihr" is plural for "Du".

    Example:

Du sprichst Deutsch. = You speak german. (singular)

Ihr sprecht Deutsch. = You speak german. (plural)

but the plural of "Sie" is "Sie"

    Sie sprechen Deutsch (singular)

    Sie sprechen Deutsch (plural)

  • @Krautfee

    Wrong.

    Du sprichst...

Er, SIE, Es spricht... (Sie as singular)

    ...

    ...

  • @Krautfee sie also means she and they. must get she, they and you mixed up a lot then.

  • @HQGamingLounge hahaha, I am here because I want to learn german, but I was listening to rammstein

  • @gloriakenny damn we are on the same boat. Go rammstein!!

  • The only german i can speak is Heil Hitler. Yeah, i'm a ignorant 15 year old.

  • @TheMumsis Well, shame on you for admitting not that you are 15 but that you are ignorant. THINK! It ain't illegal yet.

  • @MowgliX In all seriousness i think it's a awesome language and if i would have a timemachine i would love to go back and choose to learn German in school instead of English.

  • @TheMumsis English is more useful by far, it has *at least* 400 million native speakers, but in Europe, German is second to English. 100 million people in Europe have German as their natural tongue, so they outnumber French speakers (around 70 million) for instance. I studied French at school, and also Spanish, but today, I would have picked German, or maybe Chinese, or possibly Japanese or Russian. German is tricky, but once I begin to really master it, I reckon it will be wonderful!

  • @TheMumsis Don't worry: you will be *great* at this in a year or so. So will I!

  • @TheMumsis Also, I apologize for being really bitchy before.

  • @MowgliX And i also ment French instead of English.

  • @TheMumsis thas actually not fun. be happy u r not a german and say that..that's pretty bad and nothing to make fun off.

  • Shut up shut up shut up with the lousy so called jokes about Germans, Germany, the war, Jews, German Jews, the horrible atrocities and tragedies that happened 60 years ago. I'm sick of it, and I can't understand it. I guess some 90 percent of the people who were victims or perpetrators, or both, back in the 1940s are dead now or very old, and the people born after 1945 have nothing to do with it, are absolutely blameless. So, enough already. No more. It's totally pointless.

  • @MowgliX I agree. Honestly people, the German people have all put that behind them, and they aren't looking back. So enough of these stupid German stereotypes involving WWII. It's very juvenile.

  • @The76thTrombone Right. We are talking about 80 million people in Germany, and another 20 million German speaking in Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. And it's impossible to make generalizations about that number of people. Nobody would say that Americans or British are this way or that, because that would be ludicrous, too.

  • 5:35 Where are Klaus UND Susannne? Germenglish??

hahaha but anyway, it's a very helpful video, thanks!

  • @AnneBeylin

finde ich auch :D bist du auch so hobbylos wie ich und guckst dir deutsch unterricht an obwohl du deutsche bist?! :D

  • Im here because there is no english translation to Bammes 'Der Nacket Mensch'. If anyone knows if one exists please let me know so I could save an exponintial amount of time...Thanks

  • @TheWillToArt I don't know if that's what you're looking for, but it says that you can download Der nackte Mensch in English here:

    3timesw dot scribd dot com / doc/59975714 / 458-Gottfried-Bammes-Der-Nackte-Mensch-English-Translation-Gottfried-Bammes-Der-Nackte-Mensch

Notice the space beneath the slashes. Hope it helps!

  • @TheWillToArt And sorry for the weird layout. Youtube didn't let me post a regular link. Oh, and of course the 3timesw translates to w w w.

  • @Chaeromanie Wow Thank you very much, truley a great help....Out of curiosity are you an artist and/or illustrator?

  • I'm here because I failed at Spanish

  • am i the only one wanting to learn german for a skill in life?

  • @PlaystationDudeify no you're not :)

  • @PlaystationDudeify No, certainly not. I'm like that too, but I have a loooooooong way to go! I don't know, exactly, how I will use my German, but I'm SURE it will be a wonderful thing to have.

  • @PlaystationDudeify nein ;)

  • @PlaystationDudeify Nein

    Non

    No

    Mais non!

    いいえ!

I don't only want German as a special lingual skill, I want to learn them all!!

... Though that hope is a bit unrealistic... T^T

  • @sheaofleaves124 Never give up! My dream is the same. Well that and to travel across Europe.

  • @PlaystationDudeify Heck no!!! I feel the same way sometimes too.

  • @PlaystationDudeify : Nope! I'm here too.

  • Am I the only one here because of Hetalia?

  • @bakuralover21 me too

  • I'm here because of Bayern Munich, i'll see how long it lasts...

  • excellent lesson!!!!!

  • I speak English and i have been studying Hebrew for a little while and im surprised at how easily im catching on to German in school.

  • Do any Germans here recommend these videos for a beginner, or is there something better? Any suggestions? Thankyou

  • @ericafash Google this: deutsche welle deutsch lernen

  • @ericafash I am German, so I really can't recomend anything from my own experience, but in my honest opinion the whole jazz about formal and informal speech was explained in a quite confusing way. (the "du and ihr are informal"-bit for example. They say "ihr" is informal and then the next thing they do is use "ihr" in formal speech. I imagine that to be confusing for someone who tries to learn a completely new language.)

Someone mentioned that busuu.com is nice for beginners. Good luck!

  • @ericafash this video isn't that great! i speak german, and first u have to know sentence structure and basic information istead of just learning random phrases. i would look for another video. I am German by the waym so I know if its good or not...

  • Guten Tag ich Heiße Katie und ich bin deutsch. Ich komme aus Irland amer Ich wonne aus Berlin
