okay, they seriously shouldn't just throw the books away. if they are going to get them out of the library, they should give them to us, the students!! or at least invest in a lot of clear tape!
Connecting the new library to that old hunk of crap was a poor idea. Or, if they really wanted to do that, at LEAST throw some new paint on the old library and update some of the "ornate" adornments around the windows on the outside of the building.

No books were thrown away. It was the earthquake that knocked off the shelves by the earthquake and stack management shelved all the books back!

They did "throw" some paint on the old library. If you go more often you might notice this "tiny" detail.

I was at Cal Poly Pomona during the earthquake. Didn't think that it was strong enough to do that to our library
