This video deserves recognition. Musically edited, poignant images with unobtrusive lyrics- though easy to read. The gentle flow and time lapse between images, lyrics and music is subtle in that the music-being understated-is never overpowered. The focus on reflections, pairs..is interesting. Whether intentional-the song suggests one reaching out for another,yet in most scenes there is someone-if only a reflection of themselves-looking back at the lens. Humble thoughts..but well done W/Miracles.
my bff showed me this song... i am 13 and well there is no bad msg in this song, i think its about to halfs of a person... where one needs help to overcome the obstacles in life and it can be challenging. the way we see thing is extraordinary nd maybe some ppl see it as a bad msg, or a weak songbut they rlly dont see the amount of soul put into this, sometimes we just need help to open our eyes and see that we as people need help overcoming things.. sometimes its harder then others.. What a ridiculous statement. This song is just an expression of someone experiencing a weak moment in their life, it's nothing more than that. There are millions of songs expressing pain, sadness, and hurt, it doesn't mean they have an agenda to make people feel the same. Everyone at some point in their life will have an experience that will make them feel helpless - hearing someone experiencing the same feelings is what can give you the drive to overcome it.
@a22words this song is not about not helping yourself. To me, the first step in helping yourself is realizing you need help and reaching out for it. That is a great message. many people are lost due to the fact that they don't get any help and push others away. This song is saying I need help, I need a friend. it is not about giving up on yourself, its not weakness to need a support system now and then. I know I have needed it and others have too.
@a22words Music, art, isn't about being a good or bad message. It's about expressing where you are in life at the time you are creating. People have moments where they are "weak" or are well HUMAN and need other people, and that's okay. Expressing it in art doesn't make them bad people.
