Oh My God. Looking at this still reminds me of how freakin' scared I'd get when seeing the opening of this particular late show. Bear in mind, I was 4 or 5 years old. Having the big HOLLYWOOD letters craw across the screen had me running, and fearing that Saturday would be here soon. When it was finally Sunday, I could breathe again. Even into the late 90's, this opening stuck around. Still nervous, but shocked even more that it still aired until NBC 10 ceased late shows in september 1999.
@LaurenLover81 - September 1999? That was also about the time WCBS-TV in New York brought their own "Late Show" to an end after more than 48 years.
Because of the WCAU switch in network ownership/affiliation in '95, this would've made them only the second NBC O&O to use "The Late Show" for their movies (the other: WKYC Cleveland, after NBC returned to that city in 1965).
I am looking for "The Late Show" WCAU Channel 10 movie intro and outro from the 1970s. It used Love Unlimited Orchestra's "Love's Theme". Gene Crane also announced on it. It was very cool!
When did Gene Crane, the voice of WCAU-TV pass away?

@TimFrith24 - I don't know if he did, last I heard he and his wife were living in Mexico.
