The Battle of the Bulge was one of Hitler's main goals in which the Germans lost also shattering the last of their forces, not to mention the entire Luftwaffe. After being invaded by the Russian's, Hitler knew that there was no retreating at that point, if he handed himself in he would've been executed anyway due to the genocides and other war crimes he committed.

the japanese murdered thousands of innocent filipinos during the occupation. The Filipinos served honorably and carried on the war against the tryannical Japanese throughouth the occupation. Japan acted shamefully throughout the occupation and many crimes were unpunished. Japan still has not fully repented of her sins in WWII like Germany has.

@painzlife Also, the American's didn't force the Germans to surrender. The Russians provoked the German invasion and pushed on since. The Battle of the Bulge was one of Hitler's main goals in which the Germans lost also shattering the last of their forces, not to mention the entire Luftwaffe. After being invaded by the Russian's, Hitler knew that there was no retreating at that point, if he handed himself in he would've been executed anyway due to the genocides and other war crimes he committed.

The Japanese have formally apologized and ahve paid war reperations to all Asian nations from Korea to China to Singapore even people like the Dutch and the Americans . They have admitted it all .

Theyre not hiding anything .... except the fact of the Comfort Women used which is still a heated issue for the Japanese but other than that they have apologized, they've admitted their suffering that they inflicted and have formally apologized even all Prime Ministers are forbidden to visit the Yasukuni Shrine except the fact that Junichiro Koizumi

@synic1121 And did visit the shrine which caused much anger throughout the asian community but he also made a symbolic visit to the MArco Polo bridege which was the place that started the Second Sino Japanese War . Japanese veteran soldiers have written their memoirs extensively about their war time activities as well as their atrocities, expressing their deepest saddness for what they did to the Chinese and other asians . YES they have apologized formally . They have repented .

The Japanese have looked to strengthen their relationship with other Asian nations just the same as the Germans have and I bet you didnt know this but there was a Japanese man named Chiune Sugihara who saved 3400 Jews and brought them to Manchuria to save their lives from the Nazi persecution. And when he was asked why he did this he said because when you see people with tears in their eyes begging you to save them you cant help but help them. He was known as the Oskar Schindler of the East .

@synic1121 oh, well, we should not forget the USA involvement in 1900 when filipinos fought for indepence and USA fought to get a colony to grow some ananas. about a million filipinos died back then. filipinos fought a guerilla war against USA back then, USA retaliated by shooting civilians. kudos to filipinos in both wars.
