For me, the most amazing thing about this video is that the entire roller skate dance sequence—every bit from when they sit clacking their skates to when they flop down on the grass—is done in one single take. No cuts—no cheating. They had to do that entire sequence perfect from start to finish, and I would love to know just how much rehearsal and how many takes it took them to get it right.

A great Gershwin classic song...and Fred and Ginger sing a witty duet. Fred's rendition is as classic as the song they both introduced to the American songbook. At this point, in their collaboration their synergy is a wonder of human nature...It doesn't matter one iota that neither are great skaters...The spirit of fun and humanity imbues their whole performance. I suppose, it's possible to get better than this in the musical genre, but not by much! We are viewing two genuine professionals.
