u are a complete and utter tool. Even if it was "greed" they were fighting for, they probably signed up so they could defend their nation. We need soldiers dumbass, even if it is during a time of peace. Do u honestly believe that every soldier that has died thought "yay, i get to kill innocent people"? If so then I will sleep better when u and the people like u are burning in hell. May God judge rightly any man who will criticize someone who has died protecting their freedom.
are you kidding me , fighting for theyre country , the fighting was thousands of miles away from the united states , in the iraqui´s home lannd no in ours , and if you bring up 9/11 that was the terrorist in afghanistan , some might fight that do belive is for the right reason but sure enough many do not , a killer is a killer in gods eye
Perhaps the best song to commemorate a soldier's passinga away.
I've sung it in my heart at my dad's funeral: he was an Italian Army General, veteran of WW2, died at 91 in October 2008 and on his last day he told he was going to meet his soldiers fallen under his command in 1942.
I have just listened to a radio programme hear in the UK where the presenters were calling for a homecoming parade yet a numbers of callers where totally against it - unbelievable! I just wish people could see that soldiers feel pain, cry and suffer when comrades fall and ignore the fact that politicians sent them to a warunder false pretences - the politician may lose his job - but not his pension - the soldiers lose their lives or get maimed - HONOUR OUR TROOPS US & UK
I heard this performed the first time at President Reagan's funeral. It started me sobbing then; I still lose it when I hear this. It's a beautiful hymn. God bless our troops at home and abroad, and may there be a day when our troops overseas are there for peaceful purposes. May the souls of our Fallen Brothers rest in peace, and may the Light Perpetual shine upon them. God Bless America. s/ a Retired USAF Major
itloads -- It is very real. Watch HBO over Memorial Day weekend and watch the movie "Taking Chance". It is a true-to-life depiction of a USMC LTC's experiences whilst escorting the remains of a fallen brother in arms home for his funeral. Be sure to have a box of Kleenex handy.
A friend of mine was on a flight that was carrying a Marine back home much like that. He said that the entire plane went silent and the entire terminal stood still. He said it was eerie.
instead of fight, and solve the world's problems together. I know it's easier said than done. Before I get off topic all I got to say is that I salute our soldiers and mourn their family's losses. What is anybody really fighting for anymore?
It's very sad how fathers and mothers can lose their sons and daughters, and that sons and daughters could lose their fathers or mothers. Why should political ideals and religious fanatics bring about something so destructive. We've changed in many ways, but war, the willingness to kill, commit murder, and greed will never change. I'm not anti-war, but we should make war on the very people that will kill innocent people in the name of their god or for greed. All nations should band together...
I also grieve with the families who have lost their brothers and sons. But I also want to tell you that World War II Russians killed more than 22 million people. Therefore, all Americans should know: - Russian does not want war! We should all live in peace!
Thank You very much! The song is called: Gortoz A Ran - J'attends by Denze Prigent featuring Lisa Gerrard. The ending I took from Blackhawk Down. Once again thank you to everyone for the positive comments and honoring those who have so selflessly given their lives. We will NEVER forget!!
Thank you to all the American and Allied Soldiers who serve now, in the past, and who have fallen on behalf of my sorry ass to keep me safe and free. I am sorry for not being able to be as noble as you. Thank you.
I salute the fallen American soldiers who gave their lifes for their country and human freedom. And I surely wish my fellow Germans would think so, too, instead of spitting on the dead...
I just want to say thank you and a HOOAH to everybody! NEVER let their sacrifices be forgotten!!
I also wanted to address the following:
I DO believe in freedom of speech, a cornerstone of this Great Nation. However, this is not the place to make political comments and to convey your opinions in a fashion aimed at causing debate, conflict, and heartache. There are other places for that!! I WILL DELETE THEM! BE RESPECTFUL! Thank you.

The greatest duty our nation owes to those who would lay down their lives to protect us is to never send them into harms way because of lies and the ego of politicians. May our military never be subjected to the dishonorable actions of the past 5 years ever again.

This by far the most beautiful tribute to America's Fallen Fighting Men. To HappyDays- Thank you for making such a beautiful tribute. I lost my Great Uncle in Vietnam to a land mine. I'm sure Cpl. Joesph A. Taisler would think the same. I wish my generation would be more grateful to vetrens and the fallen. I'm not tring to prove that I know everything, but I like to think I know enough to care. God Bless our Troops Past, Present, and Future. Respectfully- Eagle Scout Peter J. Taisler
"It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced...that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion - that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain." -- President Abraham Lincoln
A fitting tribute to our fallen troops. May God continue to bless our troops in harms way!
The boy at 4:32 is Christian Golczynski and you can get more info about his Dad, Marcus, by googling Staff Sergeant Marcus Golcynski. You will be amazed at the story of Marcus and the words he left behind for all of us. The picture was taken exactly one year ago today. May eternal light shine upon all of them and may the unmitigated gratitude of our nation lift up the hearts of all our gold star mothers and fathers, wives and husbands, and sons and daughters.
To fallen soldiers let us sing where no rockets fly nor bullets wing Our broken brothers let us bring to the mansions of the Lord No more bleeding no more fight No prayers pleading through the night just divine embrace, eternal light in the mansions of the Lord Where no mothers cry and no children weep We will stand and guard tho the angels sleep All through the ages safely keep the mansions of the Lord
we can not forget the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice.we can not forget aswell, not just American and British, but the Polish, German, and other countries who have lost sons and daughters. May they always be remembered for who they are and what they did.
A truly moving video - I hope your troops are treated with more respect than the average british soldier - people should remember our soldiers both british and american didn't choose to be in iraq - they are doing their job and deserve our total respect and thanks.
When I look at videos like this one......three words come to mind, words which mean much to those who served but nothing to those who chose to mock: Duty, Honor, Country.
May God bless our American fighting soldier, sailor, airman, and marine. Know that there are millions of us out here who appreciate your dedication to service and your devotion to your fellow man and woman.

According to Scripture, *all* mankind's "righteousness" is as filthy rags.
If you believe we're fighting for oil, you are an idiot. If you think anyone is innocent - them, us, anyone...you're an even bigger idiot.

Not for fame or reward, not for place or rank
Not lured by ambition or goaded by necessity
But in simple obedience to duty as they understood it
These men and women suffered all, sacrificed all, dared all and died

This is hardly the place for you to express your hatred for anyone. Grow up, show some respect. Act like a man instead of a five-year old.
