  • Man, these are some dim interviewers.

  • bad audio . . . left out.

  • The most prolific writer and the person with the highest IQ talking together. That's cool.

  • whats going on with the interviewers eyes at 8:37 - 8:42

  • this guy is a personal hero of mine. just wish i could meet him in person or write him. give almost anything for that opportunity.

  • @Bo0meRs1 easy..just pray..

  • Thanks for posting this interesting and enlighting interview.

  • That bald keeps fucking it up, at 27:20, the woman, who by the way is the only one doing reasonable questions, says something about cagney´s death, the bald says *that´s good* in an awkward timing........everyone, including himself, is wondering about how he got this job.

  • don asimov. sideburns are under rated.

  • The presenter is hilarious, he looks like a complete moron. I couldn't completely concentrate on Asimov because he distracted me.. The way he looks at Asimov... freaky. Asimov is very affirmative and the presenter is enchanted by him because he boosted his confidence a little bit... 'everybody's life is worth remembering', that sentence eased his complexes for a bit. How did he get a job in television? Great mistery...

  • @rainbowseeker4 Couldn´t agree more, i feel sorry for Isaac. This guy is named Harold Hudson Channer (i had to know the name) . Personally i think he has mental problems, like pathologically.

  • Pretty much exactly how I imagined him!

  • A( ̄ω ̄)Zy~~~7☆Oh,my God.Who said bald?

Too bad,I can't very well reading English mean too yet....

  • what the hell is wrong with the bald guy? "Hm. Mmm hm. Mmm. Yeah. M. Mm MM. Uh huh. Hm. Mm hm. yeah. Mmm"

  • @myroncope

LOL I got through about 20 minute and got tired of hearing him. Then I read ur post and laughed.

  • @myroncope LOL I got through about 20 minute and got tired of hearing him. Then I read ur post and laughed.

  • He looks like he came straight out of the Victorian era.

  • Asimov is like Mozart.

  • Martian need wig.

I liked Asimov mistery books than his space science books.

  • @az7stars

What about his space science mystery books?

  • @help4343 AZ(^O^)7☆?I have read his space science book only one to wrote about stars congress etc.I forgot the book's title.I like his detective novels than his SF novels that I never have read once for SF is dull for me.

  • @az7stars

    What?

  • @help4343 AZ(^O^)7☆I can't very well reading English too yet.

  • Great person

  • What's up with Asimov not protesting around 43:00 when they talk about him going to heaven? He was a clear and outspoken atheist.

  • @gulllars What's up is that he knows when it's time to fight the good fight, and when it's time to just let a comment go and move on. His interviewer was clearly speaking figuratively, not literally, about immortality, and was not asking Asimov for a profession of faith.

  • He was an American, so he was proud of what he achieved, not the diminutive European way, which seems a bit off-putting over here in Europe, but he had all the reason to be proud, he wrote about what he knew and thought about, not about what "literature critics" wanted to read when he wrote a particular book. I've always equalled him with Stanislav Lem though, I read them both in translation, and they are very different, but Lem and Asimov sort of speak to eachother, even though they never met.

  • who is the lady-interviewer? she's very attractive, don't you think? has this air of this distinct matureness:)

  • @UltimoMondoCannibale she is MARILYN VON SAVANT-holds the guiness book of world record for highest recorded IQ

  • @Chandy1728 wow, that's really impressive, thanks for the info:)

  • @Chandy1728 She scored a 228 with SD24 (according to other children) which translates to 185 SD15 (on adult scales). Still incredibly high with a rarity of 1 in 20 million. Nowhere near the highest, but likely much higher than anyone you will ever meet in you life.

  • @MrDeppness Thanks for the info

  • She looks like Andie McDowell, from a distance !

  • @ZachClooney ha! you're right!:)

  • fake

  • @perduraboperurabo and gay

  • lame interviewers

  • isaac is a guru of science and Sf !!!!!!!!!!! he gave Lucas Star wars (With Heinline et al) we are privaliged to have had him RIP Isaac !

  • Urine-S is an amazing planet to study.

  • @rayj778 Well it must be isn't it or we are just wasting Time and talking Out of Hour Asses.

  • @rayj778 Well it must be isn't it or we are just wasting Time and talking out of Hour ASIS?

  • Hell yeah he has a wide variate.

Fun Fact - Isaac Asimov is the only author to have a book in every Dewey-decimal category. Legend!

  • @mikeJRthe2nd except for philiosophy and psychology, that is true

  • Hell yeah he has a wide variate.

Fun Fact - Isaac Asimov is the only author to have a book in every Dewey-decimal category. Legend!

  • The male interviewer looks a little like he's on coke or somthing

  • @proteusu9 either that or he just snorted a bag of ground coffee.

  • I was read his books my teenage years in 1980's!

  • his sideburns gives him strength

  • @cruzdt yes they do.

  • now we know where wolwerine got his sideburn style from.

  • @cruzdt It's the bolo ties that give him strength.

  • @cruzdt

He looks like he could be Wolverine's dad. Awesome. :)

  • Asimov is totally hitting on that broad.

  • I'd do the same! Asimov might have tapped that broad. He does write in his memoir about being unfaithful to his wives when he was away from home . Good for him !!!

  • SHe is a hot M.I.L.F !!

  • @ZachClooney loool

  • The bit around 38mins about death, time and guilt is fascinating. And later ... "violence is the last refuge of the incompetent."

  • Great interview. First time that I see Asimov talking. Thanks

  • Isaac Asimov is at the top of my Heroes list along with Carl Sagan!!!

  • I remember talking about asimov at a neighbor's house and my neighbor brought out one of his "dirty limerick" books. it was very funny.

  • thank you

  • Greatest science fiction writer of all time a true profit, thank you Isaac.

  • Thanks for posting this footage. So invaluable.

  • My *favorite* writer of all time.

  • "It seems to me the future is golden, but can we achieve sanity? The record of the human species is not a very good one in that respect." - Asimov

  • thank sooooo much

  • I remember 95% of everything my senses take in, except smell. I can remember my entire life from 4 years old up to my current age, almost like a movie in my head. I believe I can because of my High Functioning Autism, so I lack severely in other areas.

  • Look at her hair =__=, So Sci-Fi :P

  • It's sad to read this comments. Anonymity must a refuge for the ignorant.

  • Indeed, and I am entitled to wish you lit on fire and raped by baboons.

  • and you've enlightened everyone as to your immaturity!

  • But he's not entitled to his own opinion Blammo777? Even though I disagree with you both, you are both entitled to your own opinions.

  • "...reality was there and these are ways we can call upon reality and we're getting a better fix at being able to have reality... I wonder if I can ask you a broad general question...". The heck?

  • Isaac is very good at covering for the hosts tendency to create awkward moments via sentence fragments and trailing off.

  • 2:48

    hehehehe

  • Isaac Asimov has the BES MUTTON CHOPS EVER.

    He's also a fantastic writer.

  • Isaac was highly indifferent to his appearance and once remarkedf that he grew them simply beause it saved shaving time and made his books more memorable..

But I agree; the mutton chops are superlatively badass.

  • harold makes me uncomfortable at 32:21

  • Brilliant.

  • I don't ordinarily make such juvenile remarks, but the host bears an uncanny resemblance to a certain Jedi master.

Shave him, kill him, and let him decompose until he turns green, and you've got Yoda.

    I am I right?

  • The sculptor Isaac alludes to wasn't French, his *name* was French. Daniel Chester French.

  • holy shit, he does look like Yoda!

  • yeah definitly a yoda lookalike. even though i hate star wars

  • Isaac says he's poor? I wish I could recal where I read this, but distinctly remember somewhere in his writing (the context was he why he considered himself a liberal) '"...I believe in soaking the rich -even if I'm the rich...."

  • Ah! Thanks for uploading.

  • This video should be tagged!

  • ..Asimov as the Master...... Channer as the coolest Mongoloid.....and Marilyn's the MILF

  • that soman's hair does not appear human.

  • Time well spent; unlike that expended wondering if Asimov was the model for Boorman's Zardoz head.

  • whats wrong with this fucked up player ? this stuff is cultural GOLDUST!

  • its a crime that only 36 people have watched this

  • More would watch if the audio worked.

  • I works on stereo speakers, but only on the right speaker. Odd.

  • I doubt that material immortality (in writings, etc) is possible in any way. Eventually entropy wins (maybe in seconds; maybe in eons) and information is washed out by noise. Plus the exponential evolution of humanity (technologically and genetically through engineering) means even in a few hundred years, whatever genetically enhanced, cyborg, and cybernetic beings pass for people in this universe will be so evolved that, relative to them, we'll seem more primitive than Neanderthals. Carpe diem.
