@MetalMexa666 No. Death Metal plus Punk = Grindcore. Death Metal is a form of metal, Grindcore is a form of metal. If you take the "metal" out of Grindcore, that gives you Powerviolence. That's how I see it. Powerviolence is the "most extreme part of punk", or Crossover such as Wehrmacht. The most extreme of Death Metal are bands like Cryptopsy and Gorguts, and the most extreme of Grindcore is stuff like Last Days of Humanity.
That's all how I see it though, not entirely truth.
@Bassbait grindcore in its puerst and original form, is fast crust punk with thrash metal elements, just like thrash is metal with punk elements but it still metal, death emtal alter adopted elements of grindcore, like blast beats, and then we ahve modern death emtal and deathgrind with is more metal than punk,
@MetalMexa666 you are so wise. if i ever have a question regarding musical-genres, i will turn to you for knowledge.. I am lucky to share this world with you
@jethi511 Well, I don't know if i'd agree with that. Grindcore is really Thrash metal sped up with punk style riffing. I suppose some Grindcore has elements of hardcore, but it's more an offshoot of the Thrash metal genre. Most people think Death Metal came before Grindcore which is completely false. The two genres really spawned at nearly the same time
@jethi511 Assuck is heavy metal. Grindcore, grind, metalcore, deathcore, death metal, extreme metal, extreme deathgrind metalcore and all those other genre's are just a bunch of confusing bullshit. it's all metal to me.
@jethi511 Sorry man, this is grindCORE. Grind is just short for grindcore its exactly the same thing. I realise you hate modern people who call themselves core, but who gives a shit about "scene" bullshit. Gindcore is ANTI-SCENE. why cant people just enjoy the music without worrying about which particular sub-culture they might be joining.
@jethi511 Grind is short for grindcore. The term grindcore has been used since the 80s. Scene kids only adopted it a few years ago because it had the word "core" in it. And yeah, while things like metalcore and deathcore are named so because of their fusion with hardcore, grindcore was just a word someone coined to describe the sound. Besides, grind was partially born out of hardcore, so it's still valid to use the word "core" anyway. The word "core" isn't evil and dirty and wrong.
@dhernumerouno Well I thought it might have been Mick Harris but I wasn't 100% so I didn't include that. I knew it was someone who was in Napalm though. Plus that wasn't one of my concerns when writing that reply.
@DL345 Well, imo, they have a ''punk'' edge to their sound. Like, a very fast, very agressive, very brutal, but punk-ish sound. It can even be very technical, but it still has a punk feel to it. I don't know why I have this impression everytime I listen to girndcore, tho LOL
@jazzythetank if you don't like it, why comment? why even come back to the video just to insult it? thats some pointless shit right there. you should a hobby or something to take up all that free time you have insulting videos you don't like. how about knitting or sudoku puzzles?
I listen to Good Charlotte and know more about music and metal than most would care to know, I just happen to have broad musical tastes, and i know GC is pretty gay and lack talent, I just happened to have found them catchy enough to enjoy.
who doesnt want blow jobs? and really are you trying to say that because something is primitive means that it is bad. Now i hate death/metalcore-suckmeofftilicumcore, but the concept of technical music being good music is buuullllshiiiit. Listen to nunslaughter and tell me that shit isn't heavy!
@FascistInsect21666 yeah because that's what underground music is all about, especially assuck lyrics, they have a song about alcohol one about pussy a couple about drugs and pussy, and ..............................
I saw these guys with His Hero is Gone and Man is the Bastard in a record store in 95 or 96, one of the greatest shows I have ever seen, and Assuck made them all look silly.
True, they should never go unnoticed. They're right up there with Napalm Death, Terrorizer, Repulsion, Brutal Truth and the first few Carcass records.
@jtoregan behemoth is mainstream shit... and i dont give a fuck if hes better... besides no one can drum harder and faster than mick harris (Napalm Death - From Enslavement to Obliteration)
@jtoregan Behemoth play some of the heaviest shit I've ever heard. But the whole purpose of Assuck (and grindcore) is to sound raw. Slopiness makes it much more interesting.
what is so bad about breakdowns? i mean im not into them personally but i dont see why any wouldget so pissed about it? its just a different genre a different way

You will notice Assuck have a lot of talent, the composition of the guitars and the drumming are very well written, and if you've ever read their lyrics, you'll know that they're also very good. Deathcore, is pretty talentless and uninspired.
Well, the difference is deathcore sucks and grindcore doesn't. There are a couple really good bands labeled as deathcore like Animosity, The Red Chord, and The Faceless. I honestly don't even know why they're labeled as deathcore. But Assück is the best.
The Faceless is a technical death metal band. They had a single breakdown in their first album, but Planetary Duality had no deathcore influences at all. Animosity is more like technical metalcore if you had to give it a good title. The Red Chord are...eh.
