Training your dachshund to be a guard dog

All Dachshunds are LOUD they let you know when anyone is at the door or in your yard. But most are gentle and wouldn't hurt any people.

We've got a cat and a wiener dog. A favorite game is called "Get the cat!" where we tell the dog, "Get the cat!" and he "attacks" (play fights) the cat.

We found out the cat doesn't really appreciate the attention and pees on something when we play the game. Latest casualty is my gym bag.

We don't play "Get the cat" anymore.
