Fallout 3 was and is a fantastic game, full of bugs, glitches etc. but those never brought the gameplay down. I have a point and I'm going to make it now. I am a young boy really, only 15. I'm an art student at my school and I have high grades in both math and english and am hoping to become a games designer. I want to create a game much like Fallout but with atmosphere like metro 2033. I would like to create a much grittyer more real game while keeping that 50's charm.

I disagree, VATS are very balanced. It runs out and you have to find cover or fight in FPS until it regenerates. Plus I've missed many,many times while using VATS, it's not an automatic hit. Saying VATS is cheap is basically like saying all turn based RPG's are cheap.
ok guess it isnt a auto hit but still if you have an accurate gun like a sniper its 95%. it makes the game funner cause it is kinda hard playing in FPS. but not all turn based RPGs are cheap if VATs are. cause for every 5times i hit with pistol my oponent hits once. but i dont want to fight so lets just agree to disagree ;)

If your playing on PC, Go into your pipboy and go to weapons. Then press and hold a number (1-8) and click with the mouse on which weapon you want to be assigned to that number.
Then you can real time switch weapons like most FPS's without using the pipboy. As for the 360, and ps3 i have no idea

True, but look at other post-apocalypse movies/series like Mad Max and Fist of the North Star. Some of the roving gangs managed to get ahold of some junker motorcycles/vehicles and fix them up. So why not in Fallout 3?
I can think of two plausible reasons: One, the cars were made in 2077, 69 years into the future, even if it is along a time-line the diverged during the 20's/30's. Cars now a days are very technologically advanced, and contain many electronic components that would be destroyed by EMP from nukes. Two, cars contain valuable fuel, metal and components that would have been slavaged for more local and immediate uses.
For fuck sake!!! are people still arguing whether this game is good enough, or true enough to the original series, or whether its 'oblivion with guns'? Just go fucking buy it, ITS WORTH IT! And I am a DIE HARD Fallout 1, 2, and tactics fan! I was the biggest skeptic in the beginning. Once I played this though, it put all the doubt to rest. To use a word that is over used these days, this game is EPIC, that is the best way to describe it... Once you start , its tough to put down.
Man i new this would happen. They had to steal the ZOOM-IN camera function for when you shoot someone or throw a grenade. If you saw a Brothers in arms hells highway trooper game interview, They actually made a zoom in function that happens when you throw a grenade or get a good snipe ect. and they said on the interview of that game "Someones proborly going to steal this from us now!" lol and look what happened.

i have both and there really two toatally different feeling games other than there genre. Fallout 3 is more of a action packed, shooter, rpg, with a creepy, really free roaming tone, to it. In fallout 3 its great beacuase you can literally go anywhere and do anything. This game would appeal to you if you want a interesting tri mix of oblivion, gears of war, and bioshock. Fable 2 i like cause its not as creepy and has really a more of a WoW on xbox type feel. They're both great but different
i got both, Fable 2 is more in depth with the Good and Evil choices, you can pretty much go anywhere but theres a sense of "you have to go down that path", you cant really go out in the forest, theres usually a path you go down, Fallout 3 is in ways way different, it is a open world enviroment you can literally go anywhere you want, and also be good or evil with the karma system, you can make weapons, there's alot more to both of them, but personally i would get Fallout 3 if you had to choose 1
Those presenters are some of the most irritating people I've ever heard or seen. Listening to them for more than thirty seconds makes me want to grind their balls off.

fallout 3 will get game of the year .amazing game .fable 2 was great aswell .but fallout was over 100 hours of gameplay fable i beat in like little over a week .

It is a fun game. I got it recently and already put 20 hours in it these past couple of days not even doing the main story quest just side quests/stealing shit/exploring. The good stuff :) sure wish they would have added a vehicle or something like horses in Oblivion :/ a motorcycle perhaps :O

True, but look at other post-apocalypse movies/series like Mad Max and Fist of the North Star. Some of the roving gangs managed to get ahold of some junker motorcycles/vehicles and fix them up. So why not in Fallout 3?

I can think of two plausible reasons: One, the cars were made in 2077, 69 years into the future, even if it is along a time-line the diverged during the 20's/30's. Cars now a days are very technologically advanced, and contain many electronic components that would be destroyed by EMP from nukes. Two, cars contain valuable fuel, metal and components that would have been slavaged for more local and immediate uses.

For fuck sake!!! are people still arguing whether this game is good enough, or true enough to the original series, or whether its 'oblivion with guns'? Just go fucking buy it, ITS WORTH IT! And I am a DIE HARD Fallout 1, 2, and tactics fan! I was the biggest skeptic in the beginning. Once I played this though, it put all the doubt to rest. To use a word that is over used these days, this game is EPIC, that is the best way to describe it... Once you start , its tough to put down.

Man i new this would happen. They had to steal the ZOOM-IN camera function for when you shoot someone or throw a grenade. If you saw a Brothers in arms hells highway trooper game interview, They actually made a zoom in function that happens when you throw a grenade or get a good snipe ect. and they said on the interview of that game "Someones proborly going to steal this from us now!" lol and look what happened.

i have both and there really two toatally different feeling games other than there genre. Fallout 3 is more of a action packed, shooter, rpg, with a creepy, really free roaming tone, to it. In fallout 3 its great beacuase you can literally go anywhere and do anything. This game would appeal to you if you want a interesting tri mix of oblivion, gears of war, and bioshock. Fable 2 i like cause its not as creepy and has really a more of a WoW on xbox type feel. They're both great but different

i got both, Fable 2 is more in depth with the Good and Evil choices, you can pretty much go anywhere but theres a sense of "you have to go down that path", you cant really go out in the forest, theres usually a path you go down, Fallout 3 is in ways way different, it is a open world enviroment you can literally go anywhere you want, and also be good or evil with the karma system, you can make weapons, there's alot more to both of them, but personally i would get Fallout 3 if you had to choose 1
