In 2009 Button won the most ridiculous title since Keke Rosberg in 1982. He had bucketloads of good luck, a slave team mate who agreed to be his setup bitch, and Vettel lost 7 engines and had 2 mechanical failures that cost him the points needed to win the championship.. After the first seven races button drove like a shithead and was consistently beat by the same driver who got spanked by Schumi. He's the most undeserved wdc of all time..

Not really. Despite mclaren in 2005 having the best car by miles Alonso still kept his cool and had what 15 podiums? Button takes 6 wins and drives like a muppet for the rest of the season. So whilst admittedly Alonso in 2005 was pretty lucky, Button's luck far outclasses that. So Button is without doubt the most undeserving f1 champion. Hamilton, Vettel, Webber, and Alonso are all better than him, that's why he's last of the current top 5 in the championship.

I Agree, Jenson is an excellent driver. I'm a fan since his debut in 2000 with Williams. He's very quick, but was unfortunately always in the wrong place at the wrong time... Left Willimas right before their best years, the same with Renault, and then indeed HONDA, with the worst engine ever. I'm not a Lewis fan, but undoubtably, he is a great driver. We will see how things will go on the track between these two :-) Lewis is very fast, and Jenson very consistent and reliable

With this advantage, Button/BGP pulled out six wins of seven races. So, THEY had the superior car. The argument is simple: Button/GP never had such a lucky time after that seven races. Maybe my opinion about Button has changed a little bit, but he's still a lucky boy. Considering this season, Sebastian Vettel is just the best driver with the best car.

Jenson Button won thanks to a regulation that has clearly favored his car earlier this season ... Ferrari and McLaren will be back to dominate next season and Button will not remain that the memory of a World Cup event won

McLaren fan here but still enjoyed the season.
I hope all the McLaren team were taking notes from Brawn on how to celebrate a win. The whole Brawn team was going wild compared to a very tame celebration from McLaren last year!!!

How did he cheat??? IF..... barrichello won the championship you would be caring about f1. Button and Lewis are both faster than Massa, i like Massa but hes going to get crushed by Alonso next year. He doesnt even know hes the new number 2, but good look with Bruno.
