Actually, in 1976 when Marlena was first on "Days", she did pronounce her name MAR-LEEN-A , it was Jed Allan who played "Don Craig" that kept pronouncing her name MAR-LAY-NA, everyone else pronounced it the other way. I remember this because when I was watching the show back then, it used to confuse me as to how to correctly say her name. But I've loved her ever since 1976!
I was only 2 years old when this aired - my first memories of Days start when I was arond 6. I've always enjoyed Marlena's scenes. Deidre is quite possibly the best actress on the show. Thanks for posting this.

That doctor is a real quack he is so dumb! That is Marlena! He can't even pronounce her name right. It sounds like this Mar-lay-na. Not Mar-lee-na!
