  • Fools talking about Satan. This is a monumental performance by a virtuoso. God creates beauty. God grants gifts to foolish humans. Hooker was gifted beyond most..

  • genious

Sadly, the British Invasion destroyed many trasures of the blues

Satanics like the beatles, led zeppelin and rolling stones

  • @trifulquita15 satanics?what? john lee hooker is satanic? beatles, zeppelin and stones satanic? i dont know why man..

  • @loverfromalaska no, african american bluesers in the 50s WERE NOT SATANIC, maybe Robert Johnson sold his sold to the devil but the rest of bluesers were 100% christians. The British Invasion were satanics

  • fuckfuckfuckfuck

  • I don't get it. 163 people are missing out on something that resonates so powerfully within me when I hear this song and blues music. Man, what hollow people.

  • @BeadlesGhostClaw 169 people got the shivers so bad they misclicked.

  • @BeadlesGhostClaw blues is easy to play it but hard to understand it...

  • @adonisrottweiler 166 suck balls

  • @adonisrottweiler Who cares?

  • @adonisrottweiler KKK is a very racist and pitiful organization. Your comment however is ignorant..just like all the other ______ dont like this comments. You just want thumbs..which mean nothing.

  • @calebcaleb2026 its a joke, stop looking to much in to it. idiot

  • @calebcaleb2026 its the net your comment means nothing either

  • @calebcaleb2026 dude act normal..he's not a KKK member for sure..he obviously likes the song and only says that only racists could not like this song..

So you should fuck off either ;)

  • He's JLH no one could ever be better!!

  • WONDERFUL .. I LIKET ♥

  • john lee hooker-hobo blues

  • You should never smoke in pajamas. You might start a fire and burn your face.

  • @192979. good music is a matter of opinion just cause lady gaga sucks doesnt mean u have to hate the ppl who like her. u talk about soul well urs is corrupted and lacks intelligent thought.

  • i love it how some people want tabs for this, hahahah wtf are you kiddin me! this music isnt meant to be tabbed EVER, this comes from the soul.. if you cant play blues from the heart than you are a ginger... another thing cant believe music went from this great music to pathetic ass dubstop and lady gaga and the rest of the band wagon... shame

  • @192979 "than you are a ginger..." really now? Are you 12?

  • @Horidikanas hahah syke fuck off fag

  • @192979 Nobody was really asking for tabs, but rather for the Tuning which is played in Open A Slide Tuning. There are some tutorials up that are in the wrong tuning. It's clearly evident that the same riff or general pattern is not followed throughout the song, and that JLH is letting it rip from his soul. He's famous. For those who aren't, you can still have fun jamming out to someones music. What I gather is that you cannot play this song....tell me how you can over the youtube comments.

  • This is just good foot stompin', whiskey drinkin', rabble rousin' music.

  • 160 people dont appreciate the blues

  • @ryanlee2295 161 people don't get it... too bad for them!

  • This is played in open a slide tuning, sorry for the previous mistake someone has a cover on here in open g which isn't right. Bar the first 2 strings on 2nd fret and 2 hammer on 3 you have the intro figure it out from there. :)

  • Beautiful !

    Thanks

  • im getting high....off the music! Love this

  • This is played in Open G.

  • Super Sound !

  • "blues isn't hard to play but it's hard to feel"-jimi hendrix

  • @Gears408 awsome quote. hell yeah. i love this music. i feel it, i feel it. yeah

  • hihi meine brüste wachsen

  • mmh sensual and artistic!

  • Cones to thiss :D :D :D

  • This is awesome! The sound is great too. Listen to that humming. I'm surprised of the quality they recorded it then and how it is brought back today.

    Thanks for this!

  • Good stuff

  • CHILLING!!!!!

  • There was this old dude who always used to try to convince me to spend a year jumping trains and basically live the hobo life like he did when he was young.

I never did, but if the old dude had been John Lee Hooker I might have.

Anyway, fans of really raw blues might like "Rosetta West - Underground."

  • it want tabs for this, is he in standard tuning?

  • It doesn't get any better than this!

  • en français : le vague à l'âme du vagabond !!! un grand artiste !! les autres peuvent aller se rhabiller !!!!

  • My first favorite blues song. Hot damn.

  • There was a time when being a Hobo was a respectable alternative way of living. Today's homeless now are considered "Societies throw-aways and a Burden to the Rich."

  • @Diogenes1360 The Rich are the burden.

  • the greek blues............. try ......Μάγκικο- Οι μπάτσοι

....with love to every hobo everywhere.....

  • @alexsof2332

Τι λες ρε παπάρα.Ποιο greek?Τραβα γάμα την μανα σου να στανιάρεις

  • Where the banana?

  • @nojszeger well,i know where the douchebag is.

  • @GetBuckism I am obligatory to like the blacks? Must? Prohibited not to like?

  • "♫♪♫The Ragged Blade Band take a listen to our video if you like Jazz and Blues!♫♪♫"

  • 156 dislikes huh.show some respect

  • im a hobo

  • I can't help but to notice the difference between Men from John Lee Hooker's era and what Pop-Stars can bring-home today . . The difference today is society will pay a pretty penny for what it feels worthy of the struggle for Stardom. Where as in John Lee Hooker's time it was how much manual labour you could pull-off in a 12-to-18 hour day and still earn less than One Dollar for your work . . And today's Artists can't even play an instrument!

  • @duqmiguel who are you talking about, thats a very blanket statement, what artists are you talking about? and how many do you know?

  • puro poderrrrrrrrrr

  • For songs like this they need a second thumbs up button. You can't fake soul and talent like this!

  • now this is true blues.

  • first time i hear blues

  • @kjsh987 welcome to the era of blues my friend

  • John Lee Hooker, Howlin' Wolf et al taught the Rolling Stones and others about the blues. Everyone should listen to these guys.

  • Some things are just good.

  • Great song, sort of reminds me of Fuck You Blues by The Electric Flamingos

  • the best.

  • @thatjenk funny u say that if u watch the dvd of John lee called THATS MY STORY he was once asked.. about having a white person in his band his reply was " when u close your eyes and listen to music do see color cause i dont"

  • @JamezFromMaine i do

  • @JamezFromMaine That doesn't surprise me. Mr. Hooker appreciated good musicians like Carlos Santana, Van Morrison, Bonnie Raitt, etc... Quite the class act.

  • @JamezFromMaine Yeah, but I can really tell when a black person is talking from a white person.

  • oh ja

  • John Lee ... Hooker?

  • I grew up on this... one of the first songs I was singing... If you enjoy TRUE blues with a heart and a soul : check out our page! We're the Downtown Train and we bring the roots back to grow!

  • just him and his guitar! wow

jazz and blues have led to rock and contemporary musics.

pray bethren this music is a mass

  • search for ''baron manoly use to be a bad boy" the song in the vid sounds similar to this

  • pure stuff

  • hooker and hobo in the same title. hehe : )

  • if it had a color it will be universal. but the blues is one of difference and it's not a color!

  • Seafood AND Artichokes!?

  • @3eyedweasel 4 black style mannnnnn

  • I dont know why but. . . .swag

  • @rfp415 Dont ever associate that word with the blues.

  • @XxStonedKillerxX Why?!?. . .that word is a hip hop slang word for cool, good. . and whithout blues hip hop and other genres wouldnt have been created. . .so john lee hookers muscic had swag! (was cool), i dont care what you think.

  • WoW. I love the blues.. Always have..This is from a n IRISH Man, Thanks.

  • @buddy087 Me being a lover of the blues and a Northern Irish man, we're brothers in more way than one...Roll on John Lee, the master, so god damned natural. No worries about sticking to any formula, the real thing...Anthony

  • 155 couldn't deal with it and hit the suicide button, too bad it dont work

the blues are for the strong hearted

  • thank`s (`v`)- I am allways glad when I listen to him! :-)

  • Enjoyed this!

  • this is my sisters account but i love john lee hooker this is really where R&B took off and rock and roll followed......such an inpiration....thanks john!

  • He really IS the boogie and the blues.

  • los dioses tienen extrañas formas de manifestarse, y esta es una de esas.

  • cooler type

  • powerful

  • Old black man playing the blues. Can't beat it.

  • @deanopatty123 tho he is actually 48 yo there ... had a damn hard life

  • @deanopatty123 Well he would say "Old black man" ???not what he was going for but I understand what you are saying...However JLH was laying down his thoughts and heart for the bigger picture of LIFE GOD BLESS IT!

  • damn!!!! this voice gives me chills all the way to my ass!!!!!!!

  • when i think about it, there's some similarity between his voice and hendrix'. they're quite different, but there is a similarity.
