It's rumored that behind the scenes in real life Jonathan LaPaglia (Parker) and Justina Vail (Olga) hated each other. A scene like the one starting at 8:21 where both Parker and Lucy have their mouths duct taped shut would have been perfect for Parker and Olga to do together. They wouldn't have to talk or interact with each other and the sight of the other one having a duct taped mouth would probably be pleasant for both.
