i actually found out that mother brain used to be the master computer that the chozo used. when the space pirates broke in to her chamber her intelligibly astounded them. so they quickly made her the new leader. ridley didnt mind this because he knew that after a while samus would come. see what was going on and eventually kill MB returning him to power. just a bit of useless info there

I think all of the Metroid games were good.. Except for Other M. Awkward-ass controls, underpowered attacks, and it was a complete rip-off of fusion. And i'm still kinda pissed that Metroid: Dread never came out, that game was the whole reason I bought an original DS. Great song btw.

MotherBrain is the perfect example of why the Galactic Federation places such strict limitations on the free will of it's Aurora Units as Mother Brain was made with similar design Philosophies brought in by GF but altered and manipulated to the Chozo's wishes. Unfortunately to the Chozo having limits on free will also limits potential improvements to operation thus this was their error and a monster was born.

in prime3 you can see construct plans of the original chamber of motherbrain also the original games describe spacepirats as a singular force and a threat to the galaxy while in prime they also have civil wars amongs difrent tribes before dark samus gathered them under one ruler thus make the mother brain is the leader of the spacepirats

@Chaotixism the only problem with that is that Prime's 1,2,3, & Hunters all have Metroids in them. At the end of 2, all but one were killed and Super Metroid took place hours after the second game. Other M has shown scenes referencing the sacrifice of the Metroid hatch-ling.

@iamblankenstein that may be but its pretty clear that at the beginning of Super Metroid, the Hatchling is the last of its kind, not only because the game comes out and says it but also because if the space pirates could already clone them on a whim then why send a general to capture the Hatchling and not just simply a crack squad with metroid clones. Plus as I said, Metroid 2 and Super Metroid are supposed to occur almost immediately after one another.

@DPJ021189 i was wrong actually. the prime games all take place before super metroid. there's no reason for the space pirates to NOT have them captured in those games. chronologically, super metroid comes after the prime games, then other m, then fusion. we don't know if there are any actual metroids in other m yet, so as it stands, everything's still kosher as far as the series canon goes! =D
