they may not be gone but they aren't the same as the used to be. Certainly his legs were at their best from 130-140. But he just seemed to slowly decline at WW and with age. Maybe it is down to inactivity...to much wear and tear...I don't know. But he reminds me of a post-exile Ali with how Ali's legs weren't quite the same anymore. Still strong though but they don't seem to have the quickness, agility, and even stamina to continually move all through the fight.

I got Pacquiao wining a point decision, based on the simple fact that he throws triple the amount of punches Mayweather throws. Don't get me wrong, I believe Mayweather has the skill set to beat Pacquiao, but it will take more than just skills to beat Pac-man. It will a more riskier offense from Floyd. In other words if Floyd fights Pac-man the way he fought DeLa Hoya, Shane, Marqeuz, Hatton,ie, super safe defense and single punch style, he will lose on points alone, period!

The reason Mayweather wasn't moving away from Mosley initially was because he was hurt, but he had Mosley running away from him at the end of round 2 and the rest of the fight.

they may not be gone but they aren't the same as the used to be. Certainly his legs were at their best from 130-140. But he just seemed to slowly decline at WW and with age. Maybe it is down to inactivity...to much wear and tear...I don't know. But he reminds me of a post-exile Ali with how Ali's legs weren't quite the same anymore. Still strong though but they don't seem to have the quickness, agility, and even stamina to continually move all through the fight.

his overall speed has declined as well. But that is bound to happen at some point.
It may also be part of the reason why Floyd thinks Pac is on something. Pac maybe should have declined but hasn't. With weight and even age...Pac still looks great.
But maybe that comes down to being an active fighter and having a great trainer/nutritionist that works with the latest techniques and nutritional developments to keep an athlete at a high level. And I'm talking about doing it through "legal" means

The thing is, Floyd didn't move his legs against Shane cuz he didnt' have to. He knew he could stand in the pocket against Shane and still be quick enough to beat him. I think you'd see him use his footwork more against Pacquaio. Think about this, Floyd beat both Marquez and Shane without even using his entire arsenal.

@ATACXGYM well to be fair, Shane really couldn't pull the trigger after that 2nd round. The step or two that has Shane has lost obviously made Floyd's job alot easier. That's taking nothing away from Floyd. I still wish I could have seen those guys fight 5-6 years ago.

@Antrizzle2009 I think SSM'S STYLE is VULNERABLE to PBF'S STYLE.A wickedly quick jab and lead rights have always been Shane's Achilles because SSM leaves himself open for those shots by keeping his left hand a bit too low.He ACTUALLY ROLLS ALOT OF SHOTS THAT PEOPLE THINK HE GETS HIT FLUSH WITH,but he STILL gets hit too often vs the best of the best elite boxers...so he'd either stop Floyd or more likely be outpointed by Floyd from the jump.BEFORE this fight jumped off.

@paniczkova I gotta disagree. That version of Shane never stopped attacking and used blazing combinations. Remember how Judah was faster than Floyd and was able to get his combinations off in the first 4 rounds of that fight? Imagine that but for 12 rounds. Shane back then, especially at 135 was an amazing offensive fighter. He looked like Ray Leonard in his prime. Shane's shortcomings on defense would have been an issue. But he would ahve been up in Floyd's grill all night.

@paniczkova You gotta understand, Floyd was a nobody back then. Basically only hardcore fight fans knew who he was in 2000. Shane moved up in weight to fight Oscar who obviously was THE guy in the sport at the time. He made 10 times more money to fight Oscar in an easier fight for him than what he would have made fighting Floyd. Now grant you, I do kinda blame Shane for the fight not happening in 2006 when they were talking about it again. He blamed it on his loose tooth if I recall.

@paniczkova you're correct in that Shane didn't gas,but I do think SSM was overtrained.Furthermore,you're right in that PBF had the RIGHT GAME PLAN.ODLH (Oscar) DID THE SAME THING TO SSM WHEN THEY FOUGHT FOR THE JR. MW TITLE AND WAS WINNING UNTIL SHANE HURT HIM.And who was in ODLH's corner when he did it? FLOYD SR.Basically PBF simply had the skill and will to do what ODLH couldn't and FINISHED when ODLH COULD NOT.SSM is still overtrained,that's why he didn't finish Mora recently.
