@InPhErNo316 the only reason that jiraiya lost the battle was because pain (nagato) knew all his ins and outs because jiraiya was his teacher. if pain didn't know jiraiya's weaknesses then jiraiya wouldve won for sure (for example foam was his main weakness which was used in a giant pool to save konan) and this was even said once in the anime/manga
