hey then you should not listen. just kidding. it is so awesome. i think the covers are all kinda useless actually compared to the original johnston. unlike when hendrix covers dylan, for example, in which case, game on. but with johnston. please. the original is just fine.

The chorus starts with a variation:

Am -> C/G -> C/F -> C,

Dm -> F/C -> F/B -> F/C

(carry the bottom note down then up),

Then "Some things last a long time" is G, F, C.

The first time I heard it, I ran to the piano to work out the chords because they were so simple but compelling.

i love Johnston, i first came across him when a friend of a friend lent me a dvd called THE DEVIL AND DANIEL JOHNSTON released by TARTAN VIDEO. I advise any fans of Danny to see this. He had an amzing life. thanks for this vid. you rule. :)

no. not that i know of. i just call them remixes because they're videos. calling it a remix just sounds cooler than saying, "look, i made a video to go with this song." it's a great song. it moved me like it moves you. that's why i drew a little animation for it. it's hardly an adequate tribute.
