@toongamer1999 Shattered Dimensions is supposed to come out later for the PC but no sign of it. Could have been delayed or canceled. Web of Shadows is a great game and I bet you can find it on PC pretty cheap now.

@thinlizzybone This is a laptop and it runs much better than as shown in video at 60 frames per second. Uploaded on YouTube the resulting vid will be 30FPS.

@Kristophirst I think a gamepad works but I haven't tried it. Plays well enough on a keyboard. This laptop has everything including the video card, I'm playing it straight out of the box without having installed anything inside.

yeah you can make your own but I'm not sure what tools you'd need. all you'd have to do is edit the skins to your liking.

Me, i haven't bought one i thought i was done choosing by picking the Asus G51-RX05 but now that you introduced this heat problem im divided between this laptop the Asus G71GX-RX05 and the Gateway P-7808u FX. All great laptops tat get you decent gaming cheap........

I'm still waiting for a BIOS update for the G51 that might reduce the temps a bit. And I must correct myself, I reached a max temp of 91 when I was playing COD4 last night on high settings, not sure how dangerous it'd be to game like that for long periods.

Well I would recommend it if you want to spend less money and want a laptop that's a little more portable. I'm not sure if these temps will be much of a problem as I hear that ASUS said they were normal. Anyway I plan on getting a cooler soon. If you want more power and higher res the G71 may be a better buy.

It looks like the Zalman ZM-NC2000 is the better buy as it blows enough air and is designed in a way that it spreads to the entire bottom of the notebook. It costs a little more than other coolers but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

I've been reading a lot of reviews about the Asus G51 and have found that a lot of people have problems with their GPU reaching pretty high temperatures. Ranging from 90^C and up especially when running graphic intensive games for more than 10 minutes. Have you had this problem yet?

i thought that was with the Asus G71GX-RX05, if its for the model i mentioned theres a fix for it new bios was released

Saad, they had the same problem for the model you mentioned, but as you quoted they released the Bios update to fix the issue. No such bios release has been issued by Asus for the G51.

don't believe I had that problem. I think the highest I've gotten was 88 and I play far longer than that. Then again some people have also reported they don't have the problem while others do.
