Why are you guys using jetty rods (bream rods ) to catch snapper?

Great catch boys. Looked like some light great you were using too. Makes for better game/fun. I agree the net should have been used to land it, but live and learn. Was a good watch anyway.

get the fish on the boat, cut its head off, prepare charcoal in home, then throw a BBQ party.

Graphite rods are precision instruments that require respect and angler skill to function properly and last. They are also designed to run specific line classes and too often anglers run light rods and reels and PE lines of a higher class. NEt result if you use such rods incorrectly is BANG no matter what brand it is.

why you tried to lift the fish instead using a gaff or a net? this is ridiculous. it's not a question of what rod you are using, the question is what fisherman you are
