@TeamCenation2011 most setup's for most computers, Dell, HP, or any make, use a setup dedicated from the windows 7 operating system, so it is really simple things, such as - What is the name of your user account you would like to set up, what it it's password. What is the time, where do you live, and what security settings would you like to use! :) Hope that helps. just to say - I dont have this laptop, but from experience, i can tell you what i know. @Jiminibobster Notebooks and laptops are the same things! You are thinking of 'Netbooks' like the Acer Aspire one and MSI Wind. Notebooks and Laptops have better processors (Duel, Triple or Quad Core) whereas most netbooks use the Intel atom. Which is used for its low power consumption and average performance!

@WindowsLooks It's been explained to me completely differently. I've been instructed it's nothing to do with speed, statistics, et cetera, instead to do with size. e.g laptop > notebook > netbook and netbook < notebook < laptop.

@connerdaggett Actually I really like it. I've always like HP computers and this one is great. As long as you take care of it, like any computer, it should last you a while. It's got the simplicity for a great school computer, and the power for HD video editing. The only problem I've had with the computer is actually something that has just recently been happening... When starting up the screen doesn't turn on all the time. Apparently it's a fairly common problem with the DV7 and has a fix.

i got the old HP pavilion dv2000 but i am saving up for one like that... i want eh dv6... but i am also worried about the waranty... because i live in turley right now and i am not turkish so i dont want a laptop with turkish keyboard... if i buy it online or from another country will the HP warranty still cover me here?

@TheEnsour Yeah it should, I don't see why they wouldn't honor your warranty if you're in a different country. But if something does happen to your computer, you might have a harder time shipping it to the manufacturer to fix it since you live in Turkey.

yah its cool awesome that its come with software like after effects and photoshop, but the downside(like all laptops) you cant put a new graphics card in, but its still cool. do u like all ur Christmas presents u got, i sure did

The other laptop I was looking at didn't even have a graphics card so atleast this laptop has one. Overall, this was a very great Christmas as always!
