@keiththel34f dubstep is extremely similar to dnb the only maine difference is the tempo and which sound element is emphasized, in dnb its as the name suggest mostly drums and heavy bass with sub bass lines, and dubstep emphasizes more on the bass while using l.f.o's to vary the pitch, dnb is usually 160-190 bpm whilst dubstep is almost half being from 70-90 bpm, and both usually stick to the same paramiters of sound and effects which is why the noises sound similar if not the same
