i actually loved this movie. Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington) was more of a main character than John Connor was. his role was pretty good, but the beginning was confuzing. the middle suddenly made everything make sense. i felt really bad for Marcus when i found out what was going on, and at the very end :c
Not having Arnold play his role was a big mistake! Having Christian Bale play as John conner was an unbelievable error in judgement, every line he said needed subtitles 'cause I couldn't understand a word he said. 20 years ago everything depended on good acting cause graphic detail were poor, now it's poor acting with real HD graphic images lol.

writers screw up all the time, but primarily the 'hate', as you call it, comes from the leading actors inability to create an admirable role. T5 which was announced on imdbDOTcom will most likely make less than this, if that's possible ... unless the story is quite a bit better.
I'm 19 & don't care about this PG-13/ R rating debate. A movie must be judged on what's there. Sure, the dialogue wasn't great & but acting was good, it was engaging & McG did a surprisingly good job. Seriously, I thought this might tank after Bale's meltdown & I detested Charlies Angels but McG also directed CHUCK pilot & We Are Marshall which were both good so I had some hope.
3:10 to Yuma was okay. Both actors were good & action was cool but story wasn't new
D9 was made as if it were a documentary, so if it were plausible, then perhaps it could've been good. If it had been made like a normal movie, then I would've thought it was entertaining. Both made a massive amount of cash, but that doesn't always signify a good film.
Goodness, you can't make up your mind to be angry (with the cursing rhetoric) or not. No, i do not smoke weed and thank you ... many of the action movies today lack any good writing, acting or subtlety. Just buy them and place them in your collection if you like them so much.

I will gladly own them all on Blu-Ray & I've been waiting to do so for some time. District 9 is the best film this year followed by The Informant so I will pre-order it now!
But to compare District 9 to Salvation is Apples to Oranges. They're both good SciFi films in their own different way

Furlong was too whiny for me, Nick Stahl in T3 was good but the Thomas Dekker version on the Sarah Connor T.V. show was very good. Bale's version was just pure badass & rage at it's finest

now the remake of 3:10 to Yuma was good writing and acting all around, but if you want to waste hard cash on D9 and T4, then be my guest ... you would definitely be in the minority on those.
this movie wasnt amazing at all...as a matter of fact it wasnt amazing period. that scene where he lands out of the helicopter the fighting lasts for 2 seconds (which u see none of) because he goes underground and comes back up to see everyone died already and that there are no bodies of the machines but the one the helicopter landed on...also john conor survives some pretty incredible shit for a human because i didnt no u could take a metal rod through the chest and live to tell about it.

The Terminator franchise was dead when T3 came along! T3 should never have existed. I felt the same about T4 as well, but Christian Bale's intense acting with so much emotions and passion really seem to be bringing the franchise back from the dead.

Everyone keeps sayin that it wont be the same cos Arnie isn't in this film. But in my opinion, the story where Arnie becomes the 'good guy' in the second film spoiled it. The first Terminator film was the best. But this hasn't been released yet, so we will have to wait and see, but if Christian Bale is in it, no matter what kind of a person he is like off set, there is no debating that he is an amazing actor and shall make this film work.

The only Terminator movie anyone should be complaining about is T:3 rise of the machines cos that was really crap.
Nick Stahl was miscast as John Conner and the soundtrack was practically non existent. And Arnie was too old to be a non ageing terminator.
Christian bale on the other hand is the right progression from Edward Furlong to be a strong John Conner.
I cant wait for the sequels!!!!!!

The Terminator franchise was dead when T3 came along! T3 should never have existed. I felt the same about T4 as well, but Christian Bale's intense acting with so much emotions and passion really seem to be bringing the franchise back from the dead.

Everyone keeps sayin that it wont be the same cos Arnie isn't in this film. But in my opinion, the story where Arnie becomes the 'good guy' in the second film spoiled it. The first Terminator film was the best. But this hasn't been released yet, so we will have to wait and see, but if Christian Bale is in it, no matter what kind of a person he is like off set, there is no debating that he is an amazing actor and shall make this film work.

I think this will be the worst Terminator Movie, However i still think it looks good but Terminator 1,2 and 3 will be better than this. I rate Terminator 1 and 2 the best Terminators. The fact that he lost his temper the other day has nothing whatsoever to do with it.
