The ignorant use of acronyms seems to get worse as they become more commonly used then the understanding of what it is. PIN for example, even in print documentation seems to accept it as its own word and therefore perfectly acceptable to slap number on the end. A quick way to prove this point is have the person say out the acronym with the addition on the end. Some people are stubborn. BTW the xbox not passing more than stereo over HDMI is a common problem, Check out the AVS forums for info.
