they are dale crovers drums probably, big business are members of the melvins, and the melvins have two drummers, dale crover and this guy. big business usually support them
Ah. Now seeing his kit understand better why his sound is not better captured on the LP. He's an astounding player who has yet to find his engineer. Great band, passed them by for has it been years? My bad.
Are you kidding?!! Have you listened to Here Come The Waterworks>?! His drums sound A-MAZING on this recording, not gonna get a better sound than that?
Have you tried TURNING up your volume? Or are you listening on laptop/shitty PC speakers? If so.....FAIL.
Haha. Yes I have pretty nice speakers. And the drum production is perfectly passable on "Waterworks". I't certainly loud but it gets muddy in places. There is lost detail in there, i see that even better after having watched this video.
its not his fault you cant hear him well its the fuckin sound guy with the PA system. and prolly taping behined the drummer isnt the best way to get the best sound
these guys are pretty good but the lead singer needs to speak the fuck up and get into it. i can barely hear him and he shows a complete lack of emotion.
Dude, that's the video recording's fault. His voice live is amazing, and anyone who's heard a big business album knows the power of his voice on recording. The video camera obviously was not next to the PA with the voice.
Vocalist's amazing phrasing and emotion are half of what makes this band magnanimous. You gotta hear the recordings. But in all truthfulness, when I first saw these guys they were a two piece, and I thought the vocalist rivaled all of Ozzy's vocal talent. I mean I was blown away by the vocals, alone! Amazing vocalist, they need to fire the guitarist, and go back to being a two piece.
@speechon I just saw him live. His voice is loud as shit and pretty awesome. They just turn their amps up so fucking loud you can't hear anything. It sounded like a shit ton of noise. Totally different then their recorded stuff. The loudness was pretty awesome at first, but it's novelty wore off pretty damn fast. All I ended up doing was watching the drummer go apeshit. Which was pretty cool in itself

Great song, to bad that the camera is so far away from the mic, I'd love to hear more of the singing. His voice is perfekt for this song.
