That tends to happen when you put a free flow exhaust on a V6. The back pressure from the factory cats and/or muffler are what keep the engine from backfiring.

thats not a "backfire" its called, launch control, 2step, or whatever else. It lets the turbo build boost and hold it so when you launch you dont have the infamous "turbo lag"
