The ocean is a huge place that could easily swallow a downed aircraft and never be found. Sadly it is not all that mysterious when you compare the size of the ocean to her little airplane. Back then they did not have the ability to track aircraft so I think her plane might have disintegrated on impact and the currents just washed it deep into the abyss.
Saw it today and thought it was great. Hilary Swank did a brilliant job portraying her. I'd give it 5/5 but then I'm an aircraft nut. Ta for the comment.
Amelia Earhart is my idol !!! She did everything to accomplish her dream ! Her death was a tragic but I bet she died proud of her self
